Freestoneriver
Anyone know what's going on at Nate's 4X4? My credit card was charged for my order on 3/17, but the bumper has not shipped. He does not answer my emails and I can't leave a voicemail because the system is full and won't take messages. I spoke with Nate a few weeks ago and he said my order got mixed with another and he was going to make my bumper that night. Nothing but radio silence since then. krustyballer16
I ordered a front bumper from there like 5 years ago and it took almost 3 months to get. No calls, voicemails, emails. Finally it just showed up at my house... Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk

Pete M
hopefully the product is still well made. I'm open to forgiveness for delays, we've all experienced that. but don't you dare rush my order and screw up the welds because you were in a hurry! :fs1:
MuddFoot
I'll let you know when I get it Friday of the quality of welds and everything. Sent from my Z959 using Tapatalk

Freestoneriver
Still have not heard from Nate's about my order. They don't answer their phone and my emails have been ignored. This is very strange behavior for any company in business, let alone a company that brags about its customer service on their website. I'm giving them until 5/17/17 to either deliver the bumper or at least give me an update. If nothing happens by then I'll have my credit card company reverse the charge. Too bad, because I really wanted that bumper, but it has been 2 months since they charged my credit card and enough is enough.

Freestoneriver
Yes, I see the string of discussion, but the operation looks rinky-dink and I'm not going to pay for shipping from CA to PA. I guess I'll make my own.

You should stick with Nates... Me? I will stick with known good quality welds and workmanship. I am very pleased with Krusty's work.
cody4359
I've never heard anything good about nates service in the 5 or 6 years I've had my comanche. diy kits aren't a bad option, I did a jcr diy rear bumper on mine years ago and a few months ago did a dirtbound offroad diy mojave. saves a little cash but be prepared to spend a day and a half or so welding, grinding, and pearl disking. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk i just ordered the same front bumper and added the hoop kit. i was going to build my own again but the diy are reasonable and take the guess work out. i did get my nates bumper today and his welds look great bumper is straight looks just like it should. it will take very little prep to get ready to paint my bumper. fyi on the small operation nates is not a big company. krustyballer fab looks like he does great work to from what ive seen and herd on here. on nates it took longer than id like but he is building to order if i was in this type of business id do the same. us mj guys are few and i wouldn't want to have something built to sit for months or years to gather rust. jcr offroad when i ordered the rear diy 2 years ago said it would be a week extra time because they cut them to order now because of low demand. cody4359
ya, if I was a small operation I'd build to order for the rear bumpers, tho the front are the same as cherokee's. on a side note, I'd do my best to not leave people hanging without a response weeks to months on end. for the dirtbound kit I made some 1" shackle mounts to replace the 1/2 or 3/4 that was supplied and I user my old jcr tie in brackets that you use to get for free on black Friday orders but they now charge an arm an a leg for. my plans for the diy was to make it a hidden winch setup but I didn't have a winch to mock up and was lazy so I did the normal kit. dirtbound said they were thinking of trying to make a diy hidden winch setup. krustyballer16
Yes, I see the string of discussion, but the operation looks rinky-dink and I'm not going to pay for shipping from CA to PA. I guess I'll make my own.My rinky-dink operation brought back a long sought after item, the factory style hitch.I'd probably have already built you a bumper and you'd had time to pull trailers and recover other non-jeep vehicles with it... And I had SWB sliders done before they did too... I don't build as much stuff as Nate's does so that's why I have to charge shipping separate... I know my bumper brackets are a lot more sturdy, reliable and better mounted than theirs too. I've had my fun with ordering from Nate's. Never again.
