Jackrabbit41 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 So this red "button" thing has always had me curious. The PO told me he put it in. Once you pull the lever for 4wd, you also have to pull out this button thing. Do I need this any more? I put in the ax15 and np231 and I'm soon to have a HP30. Also I'm going to get the novak case shifter. here's some pics of it. ">http:// ">http://http://s1148.photobucket.com/user/Jackrabbit123/media/image5_zpspotz3y5k.jpeg.html'>
daking Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Maybe for CAD axle. Cable activated to connect axle shaft in front axle housing? Can you follow the the line? Also looks like adjustable throttle. turn knob to adjust RPM, pull level to engage.

Never heard of that adjustable rpm thing before and I'm pretty sure that's not it.
dunnc1991 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Looks like a cable lock for a CAD Dana 30 to me.
86manche207 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Looks like a cable lock for a CAD Dana 30 to me. Agreed
yxmj Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 It is a "posi-lock".....engages and dis-engages your front axle...follow the cable down to the passenger side front axle....it hooks up were the vaccum actuator used to be . :MJ 1: . +
yxmj Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 And if you put an HPD30 that has no cad....no you will not need it.....you can run it to your back bumper and hook it up to flip your plate down so you can speed through all the red light cameras in town
daking Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I figured its for CAD type axle. Replaces the factory vacuum actuator. But it DOES look like an adjustable throttle. Used to raise RPMs for winching, car audio, hydraulics and other items that require higher RPMs to function. http://www.truckntow.com/venier-h-d-adjustable-throttle-locking-control-cables.html?prod_id=2373&utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=cse&utm_term=2373&gclid=CIiJjP69zMgCFU1cfgodkPMLPA
gogmorgo Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 But why would you need to pull a hand throttle all the way out to put it in 4x4? Another vote for CAD lock.
yxmj Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Posi Loc http://4x4posi-lok.com/app_dodge.html . :MJ 1: .
dwa175 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 looks like a throttle control turn it see whats happens the red button if pushed releases cable dwa . :MJ 1: .
