So once i get about 500$ I'm finally going to get the rest of the parts for my 8.8 swap and the alexia lift, but then i want to get some new tires and so if i went up to 33s or hopefully 35s, what will happen with my bad tranny? should i start looking for a ax15? its a bolt in swap other then widening the tunnel right? thanks

"widening the tunnel"?  :hmm:  never heard that one before.  :???:

items on the list (off the top of my head):

t-case input (peugeot has a 21 spline output, AX-15 has a 23)

pilot bearing (which one you get depends on the year of the new trans)

crossmember (ax-15 one is different)

stickshift is different

trans mount is different

I'm confused, you clearly say your bad transmission in this post.

so by "bad tranny", you simply mean it's a peugeot?  then it makes more sense.  they certainly aren't a good transmission.

They certainly aren't great by any stretch, but to say bad ... Meh!

If it's working fine don't worry about it, start collecting parts to swap it eventually, but don't get all in a panic. They last according to how they are treated ... Drive it like a Ferrari, and it's great nna blow up sooner, my Ba 10/5 has 238,000kms and is still shifting smooth and without issue. I do have all the stuff to swap it out for an AX15 at some point, but no hurry here.

I liken it to a D35, don't bother throwing any money at it, plan for future swap, but it's fine if not beaten.

I think my slave cylinder is going bad so that's why I'm thinking about it

Only widening of the trains tunnel would be using a wrangler trains and you'd have to smash a small spot for the t case to clear. Very simple cave man type $#!&.
