Some people can't drive

So I'm getting ready to leave work today and find out that one of my close friends and he is also my coworker died two days ago and was found today in his house . I then left work and stopped to grab something to eat then headed to my local dollar store to grab a couple things . As I was finishing eating in my then parked Comanche I watched as a roughly 2003 trailblazer flew in the parking lot and proceeded to hit the right rear of my truck at the bumper end rocking my truck violently . I get out of my truck to find a early 20s female blaring the music and also on her cell phone . I motion for her to roll down the window , and when she does she asked " did I hit you ? " . Sarcastically I'm like noooo , maybe if you weren't speeding and your music wasn't deafening you wouldn't of hit me !! Then I get the evil eye from her like its my fault . I checked for damage and luckily she only scratched the bumper end . What's a matter with people ?

Oh god I would've had a heart attack if someone hit my pride and joy .

Exactly right !! I know it's an old truck , but it's mine !! She never got out of her truck to check for damage on her vehicle or mine . As a matter of fact she left without even going in the dollar store .

Stupid _____ !  I had one hit me head on in my MJ while I was stopped at a light with a cop standing not 10 feet away. Her daddy is A lawyer in town and got her out of the ticket and points. Her insurance did pay for the damage to the truck which was not hardly any at all.

I've lost two trucks due to accidents . The insurance company totaled them out .

I was sitting at a light one evening (after dark) and all of a sudden I see the reverse lights come on and the car in front of me start to back up. My horn wasn't working at the time but I was still pushing it and yelling at the same time. The car slams into the front end of my mj and 2 girls get out and the driver was laughing while saying she didn't see me. Unbelievable. Got rearended at the same light by some guy who hit me hard enough to scare the person in front of me to get out to ask if I was ok. Luckily both times the mj was ok.

I got rear-ended on February 10th on the way to work.

The snow banks were 6' high at the time.  It was snowing (hard) the night before.  School openings were delayed, so there were kids gathered at bus stops that are usually empty.  5-6" of snow on the ground, a kid darts out in front of me from a side street on the right.  Never looked and was talking to a group on the curb on the left.  I pumped the binders to a stop while laying on the horn and came to a stop about 10' from the kid who'd frozen in place.  WHAM!  Some a$$ in an Infinity plows into me.  Pushed me to within 2 feet of the kid who at this time was backpaddling fast.  I'm sure I could smell sh*t.

The bonehead who hit me let his insurance lapse.

I was rear-ended (not in my MJ) a couple of years back. The guy who hit me didn't have insurance. He was driving a friend's car, who also didn't have insurance. The officer who wrote the accident up gave the other driver a ticket for no insurance. The guy told the officer the owner was a block away, but the officer didn't bother to drive there and ticket the owner. A co-worker had stopped when he saw my truck so he and I went to see the owner. Guy wouldn't talk to me, just turned away and went into a building.

Alabama has a law requiring liability insurance but there is either apparently no penalty or the police don't bother to enforce it. Cost me a $250 deductible. From what my insurance agent said, they probably didn't bother trying to recover the repair cost.

This kind of crap really hacks me. Just got mad again writing about it.

Bottom line - there's people who acept responsibility for their life and actions and there's those who don't. I try not to associate with those in the second category.

New Hampshire does not require proof of insurance when registering your vehicle. However, operators are required to show proof of insurance and/or proof of financial responsibility if they're invloved in an MVA or are stopped for a violation. My insurance requires that I carry uninsured motorist coverage and my deductible was waved.

When I was hit, the driver told me and the LEO he didn't have his insurance card. He told me he would text his policy information later in the day. Not a word/letter. I texted him that evening, then called him the next morning. Got a text back stating there was "a conflict" with his policy and he would contact me when it was resolved.  Days later, still no word.  Whatever carrier he has for cell service provides opportunity to enter a call back number.  I entered the number for the Derry, New Hampshire Police Department. Got a call almost immediately. "I had automatic payment set up from a closed checking account", was the explanation for the lapse in his insurance.  Not my problem.  The police report does state that he was issued a citation for traveling too close.

Here's the kicker.  I was on my way to work last Thursday in the rental and guess who was riding my bumper?  This guy has a problem.

If he or anyone else is ashamed the exit door is open. Make sure they write back after they have found and lived under that utopian system for for awhile. ;)
