Fuel Pump Ballast Resistor

Does anyone have a resistance value for this? And/or a source for a new one? Mine is split in half, but both connectors are still attached to the lower half. Tried to find one on several parts store sites with no luck. May just make a pilgrimage to P&P and see if there's a whole one on a XJ.

You can jump it with a wire. I think I picked up a new one a few years ago from rock auto. I know it is measured in ohms, but can't remember for sure that value.

I agree.... Just connect the two wires together and drive.

Thanks, Don. I saw ignition resistors on several sites but didn't know the resistance value. I believe tha 1.2 resistor I saw had threaded terminals. I like the relocation.

Why not just eliminate it? It was only added in 88 because old ladies were complaining about the fuel pump being loud. Doubt you would even hear it in an MJ. I can't ... Removed my ballast resistor 2 weeks ago, haven't blown up yet.
