Eagle Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 You're making a big mistake. They leak. All of them. All the time. The wing vents on my '88 XJ leaked from the day I took delivery (new). After several complaints at the dealership, the Chrysler field rep offered to "fix" them ... by replacing them with the non-operable windows.
HOrnbrod Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Mine don't leak. They never have. You must be feeling better now, back to your old self. Good to see.
Jeep Driver Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Find me a nice pair of 97up doors and you can have mine, I hate them.
cruiser54 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I despise them. Never open them. I'm probably gonna caulk them shut so they'll be quiet like the ones on my MJ.
HOrnbrod Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Do it. Mine are always quiet. No air or H2O leaks. I love them.
Strokermjcomanche Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I've got 3 USED sets that I'll never install on my trucks . Pm me if interested . The rubbers are decent .
Corey352 Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 Mine busted out and I a need new one before my floor rusts through
91Pioneer Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I like my vent windows... cause I don't have A/C...
88ComancheMitch Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I like my vent windows... cause I don't have A/C... Quoted for truth. I wish I had some
Eagle Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I despise them. Never open them. I'm probably gonna caulk them shut so they'll be quiet like the ones on my MJ. That's how I stopped mine from leaking -- silicone. Which means if I ever open them I'll have to reseal them, but after 26 years if I haven't had to open them yet, it's unlikely I'll ever need to.
Pete M Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I both love them and hate them for all the reasons given so far. :D
