Twisty
I never really get bored at work. I get really sleepy though. But if I fall asleep...I cause probobly close to $5000 of damage and might die. So far so good though.
KYMJ
It can get boring at a Fire Station....if you let it. I walk, work out, take home and JEEP projects. I always study at least 2 hours. Most of the young guys play computor games. My FF plays some kinda Battleship game, can't get him up to do anything else.
88MJay
I work from home so I don't get the "typical" boredom that most get at work. But, it get's boring being home ALL the time.

Greasy old ~40 year old diesel tractors that don't work right. Nothing better!! Anything death related freaks me out. Seeing a dead person makes me all squeemish. When I was in the hopspital room (almost one year to the day) the night my grandmother died...I couldnt look at her. I kept thinking she was moving and it freaked the $#!+ out of me. pingpong
My job is very easy.. out of the 8hrs I am on the clock, I might only work 2-3 hrs. The bad thing is it is hot as hell, and getting steam burns and chemical burned are kinda the norm.

Getting them on a regular basis must'nt be fun.
pingpong
Well I work in a papermill, in the powerplant dept. Needless to say between breathing coal dust, and dealing with Black Green and white liquor (all have PH's above 10), and steam that is super heated and presurized... its a good job

4play
My job can go from one extreme to the other. Some times, I literally catch myself falling asleep. But let some idiot get stuck on stupid and things pick up.... ever watch cops? ;)
JeepcoMJ
I don't like dead bodies. or the idea of being buried. or of donating organs. so basically i'll stay away from your deal there pakrat. i lifeguard..so it's generally not boring. in the mornings it's droll but i get to think about things...so as long as i got enough sleep, it's all good. other times it sucks cause it's too busy. same goes for teaching swim lessons ;) damn likkle tykes get rowdy. and i work at the building materials desk at menards now (seeing as i can't do shipping recieving w/ my foot) and that's pretty steady paced. definitely keeps me on my toes as i don't know what sku numbers everything would generally fall under yet...pickin it up tho :D
Jeep_ers_89
Yeah the fire station can be boring. This is what I do all day for the most part when in an outlying station. Even though we do close to 6500 calls a year. I don't mind dead people but as for crematory, embalming stuff I'm out, Id rather them fresh. KYMJ
Wasn't boring at the Fire Station today. We certified for FF1 today, FF2 tommorow. Been on this dept 15 years, no one cared if we were certified. My best friend(the one who got me interested in JEEPS) made Chief and is requiring it(as well should be). Passed FF1 today and I'm feeling good. Better late than never. I love this job. Rob S
I can get bored at times, other times its crazy hectic. I am an Airtraffic Controler, work for the FAA/US Gov. Tracker
I gotta say- I've never had a boring job. I've had jobs that suck and jobs that didn't pay but I never let myself take a boring one. When I was in my late 20's I decided to get into something I could stick with, make some money, and have a good time doing it. It took a while but it was worth it. This is me in my work clothes next to my current work truck. (Cal Fish and Game) Don't get me wrong- it's a law enforcement job with all the bad stuff that might come with the duty. But it's different in many ways too. How many jobs give you an assortment of guns and other toys, and pay you to go wheelin'? My folks like to see me on the news with my tranquilizer gun, chasing some bear or mountain lion that wandered into town. The job description calls that "Other duties as required". And I'm amazed at the people that have such a hard time pronouncing Walhalla. But it can be fun listening to drunks try :rotfl2: Don't get me wrong- it's a law enforcement job with all the bad stuff that might come with the duty. I'll bet you encounter a higher percent of people that are armed than do street cops.
