Military Ammo Can

Recommended Posts

left side holds a complete oil change

right side has other useful chemicals

and a couple more for little spare parts.  didn't know what to do with them and didn't know what to do with the space, so I killed both birds. :D

got another 50 cal for a center console.  haven't gotten around to installing it yet.

I can get pics with or without center console. Just let me know. Also with bench seat and column shift, Reread the post. Understand you're going to use the console lid attached to the ammo can and with no center console. Never thought of that.

89eliminator has a large can in the back of his MJ, and he can fit a ton of stuff into it. I plan on doing the same once I get The Farmer up and running. Big enough for a coolant jug and all sorts of stuff in there.

like rob said, i have a 20mm box in the bed (looking for another one for the other corner).  with careful packing, i can fit a jackstand, quart of oil, gallon of antifreeze, spare ujoint with u bolts, socket set, couple screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, and a hammer.  i stuff a towel over everything to keep the rattling down and to provide something to wipe my hands off with.

I have a  smaller 50 cal can bolted down in the bed that I keep my air chuck, air hose, and other air tool supplies that I use with my on board air in.   Then when I go 4wheeling I have 2 20mm cans that I put in the bed, one has all of my recovery gear in it. (winch remote, snatch block, shackles, tow strap, tree saver and gloves) and the other one gets all of the spare parts and fluids. (ujoints, tie rod ends, pieces of hose, misc. nuts and bolts, oil, trans fluid, steering fluid, brake fluid) And then of course I have a few in the house filled with ammo.

I'd like to get a couple spare 105 cans, or mortar cans.  I could put my spare axles shafts and driveshaft in them.  Would be an easy way to secure that stuff in the bed.

My local hardware store just got a bunch of 105's in. I can check prices for you and ship em out if you'd like.

Thanks for the offer, but I got looking around online last night and found a 155mm Howiter can for $22, so I ordered a few.   The sad part is, I have probably 500 of them at work sitting in a scrap pile, but I can't take any of them.
