I came across this online as well. Its a mount for the 50 cal cans. I think I am going to copy the design and make my own for my 20mm cans. A couple footman loops and a ratchet strap per can and they should be nice and secure.

I made one out of a 20mm or 25mm Explosive Rounds (now wether that is artillery, mortar, or grenade launcher i have no clue) the .50 cal is just too small. Most of the writing has faded from sitting out in the ammo can junk pile for years. Ended up taking 4" in the front and about 4.5-5" in the back and matching the slopes. Works perfectly

Finally got the correct ammo can for my truck and the size to lean on when I'm doing my commute to work and back....it's a 5.56mm ammo can...
