1985 Jeep MJ

I have a 1985 MJ project truck there is NO engine, trans or transfer case This truck had a 2.8 but was locked up. I have a Colorado title. It is a long box but not the metric ton truck. Make a good builder with a V8 and a 700R4 if I only had the time. Call 719-320-24 six four. Thanks

From his asking price, over twice what a stripped MJ is worth, and calling it a '85 tells ya the guy ain't to bright. Still waiting for him to call so I can go take a look at it.

Got it! $300 and a couple Cuban cigars. The damn thing's a rust bucket. Got a couple scratches in the paint and nobody patched them. Going to take me 10-15 minutes with a Brillo pad to remove all the rust. :yes:  Also got a AX15 and a two 231's he had laying on the ground. No front bumper.

I would like that truck.   I really am looking for rust free.   If you'd be interested in making a some money for your time of hauling it home, I would happily send the money to you right away and come out to pick it up in a month or so.  Would love the chance to meet a legend.

That is a mid year 86 vin. The lower the last six numbers the earlier the truck.

Seems like the indentation on the firewall was wider than normal. Didn't they widen them mid year?

What does the VIN tell you on these two?

must be longbed.   I have passed on clean shortbeds local.  zero interest in them.

If you check my recent post in wanted, I'm looking for a clean longbed.  no dents in cab or bed, zero rust (scratches/rust in scratches is fine).   I don't even care if it has a motor or trans, don't care if 2x4 or 4x4, or if it's got junk roller axles under it.   the tires can be flat or mismatched, and the rims can be junk.  interior can be gutted or not....Just want a clean truck to build off of.
