Has anyone compiled a list of parts to grab that are Comanche specific if we were to come across one in a junkyard? If not, could we start one now. I always forget to grab something while I'm there then kick myself when I remember later that I should have grabbed a few more parts. Inevitably, those things are always gone when I go back for them the following day. There's one in my local yard right now that I forgot to grab the rear fender flares and rear slider glass out of. Most everything else (that I can remember) was already gone by the time I got a few things off of it. Thanks.

Tail lights, seat brackets, pickup bed light (if present), rear bumber.

(not inteded to be a complete list. Just some parts that come mind.)

Assuming the parts are in good condition I grab:

  • Tail Lights
  • Drip Rail Covers
  • Cab Vent Covers and Cab Vents under those
  • Tail Gates and the hinge brackets on the bed
  • Bench Seat Brackets
  • Bucket Seat Brackets
  • Factory Rear Bumpers

Every time a Comanche shows up in the junk yard I grab those sets of parts.  I have several bins full of them for the future.

Cool. That's what I'm talkin' about. I assume some of these too:

headliners (or whatever remains of them)

interior trim items ( A and B pillar, lower rear window, speaker grills)

Dana 44 rear

factory, dealer, or aftermarket add-ons (for example; Jeep mud flaps, brush guard, Lund visors)

bed bar, roll bar, light bar....whatever you like to call em, with attaching parts

:agree:

if possible MJ D44 or AMC 20,

the rear flares and hardware,

the truck bed....

Factory Hitch

shock mounts (axle side)

while not just for MJs the AX-15 bracket (the part that goes between the transmission and the rubber mount) would be a good score..  When i was looking for mine it was a PITA trying to find one down here.  I had to order one on some mopar warehouse web store... last week I finally found one in the P&P so i grabbed it even tho i don't "need" it, someone else might be having issues finding one like i did

Thats cool, and a good list, but I was thinking not about upgrades but rather items that are specific to the Comanche. They are disappearing slowly, so I want to carry a list with me when I hit the yards just to double check that I didn't leave something desirable behind. Even if it is something that I don't need right away, someone here might have a need for it.

Yep, I don't mind storing stuff for people to buy in the future. I understand that junk yards just want to scrap the parts. I also understand that people may not want to buy spare parts right now. There is an empty bedroom in the house that I just stack organized bins of parts in. :D
