Damn Jeeps Are Out To Get Me

or I'm just getting unlucky (careless) in my old age. Some of you may remember a couple months back when I posted a pic of my left black eye i got while working on a Jeep. Yesterday while dropping a 42RE from a '97WJ so I can do a AW4 swap on it. Had the tran out about 4 inches and was ready to drop it. Something got hung up. Just as I reached around to feel what was going on, the whole thing dropped. Fortunately I was able to get my head in the way in time to cushion the trans hitting the ground so didn't break anything. Anybody need a '97 ZJ for their conversion?

I'm getting to old for this shet!

I'd be less worried about the injuries from the Jeeps themselves so much as the occasional rattle snake you say you find under the various vehicles...

If I were to crawl under a vehicle and encounter a rattler, a bite would be the least of my worries. I would probably hit my head, shoulders, and knock myself out stupid banging around trying to make a hasty retreat.

Snakes... :shudder:

Jim, you can still get under vehicles and work on them. You can even use the internet better than most older generations. Fairly sure you are doing just fine!

He can use the internet better than both my parents, and 90% of my aunts and uncles. Combined.

Good looking shiner ya got there. Didnt break the trans on your head did you?

I may be one of the few Jim, but I'm a little concerned about you. Since you have graced the CC forum, I've seen shiners in both eyes, groin kicks and bites from your livestock, fisticuff results from your many girlfriends, assorted Jeep parts falling on your head, and other varieties of personal carnage you have endured. And these are only the ones you tell us about; I'm sure there have other minor incidents you deemed not worth reporting.

So seriously, I'm asking you bro, TRY to do things more carefully. I'm not asking you to slow down, that would be pointless. Just be a little bit more deliberate when you're bumping around under one of your Jeep herd members that needs some love. I for one, and I'm sure I speak for everyone here, never want to hear about any serious damage to you. Si?
