Rebelfish99
Finally found a camper that fits perfect in the MJ, just need to get some leveling air bags and some extended mirrors and all will be well.
mpace6a
Cool! Looks good on the jeep! Very roomy on the inside?
Automan2164
Some inside pics would be cool, curious minds are spinning... That rear door looks like it may be a pain to get in and out of gracefully. Rob
SW86
x2 on the inside pics. i can agree about getting in and out but if your young it shouldnt be a problem lol. maybe pop off the tailgate for like a step action with the bumper. also i like how you blanked out your plate in the first pic but forgot to in the second lol! rmoore1031
You can get mirrors off a F150 and screw them into your door like I did on my MJ.
Geonovast
I'm diggin' the fender blindspot mirrors.

Jerry
Nice rig! Is that an a/c unit in the back? I use airlift levellers on my rig. There ok but not perfect, fitting them was a real pia. I like the fancy new style organic flip flop camper jack you've put on the rear left top pic, looks very stable ;)
AMCJeepMJ
Bah! I saw a Skamper camper this spring on the local CL... I knew I should have picked it up.
Alexia
So, how much does it actually apply that the owner's manual states that truck bed campers should never be used? I wondered the reason behind that manufacturer decision.

HOrnbrod
Too much side-to-side rolling with the stock suspension causing rollovers. However if the rear suspension were beefed up slightly like the below, it should be fine.
Geonovast
Maybe add a rear sway bar in addition to those air bags (or MT springs :brows: ).
HOrnbrod
Or you could always go this route:
Jerry
Maybe add a rear sway bar in addition to those air bags (or MT springs :brows: ). Been thinking of adding a sway bar. Are they available off the shelf for the Comanche? Or would l be looking at custom build?
ComancheKid45
I would think adapting a Ford Ranger 1 or something similar would be ok. I don't think ive seen an aftermarket MJ Rear swaybar available, but i could be wrong...
HOrnbrod
http://www.swaybars.com/detail.asp?productid=5334 Short bed only - mounts to the upper shock bolts with angle brackets. Poor design IMO. A better option is a rear sway from an S10 or Blazer. The length is correct; end links and mounts to the frame will have to be fabbed. dasbulliwagen
I agree with the rear sway bar. Many that I've seen on the rear for these are so small that I can't see how much good they would be. I think one similar in size to the front would be best for you especially with the slide in in place. You might look at grand Cherokees or Durango's to find one to adapt. AMCJeepMJ
The Addco rear sway bar is 1.125" diameter... I have one. My only thoughts on this are to not crank them down too tightly on the ends or it will act like more like a spring instead of a sway bar, and that the mounts to the axle should really have a more secure method of attachment instead of u-bolts [i have had to re-tighten them twice and had to order a replacement part when I lost one on the road]. Other than than that, the sway bar rocks.
