dakal Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 something went wrong meant to put them together, but still learning the new posting method.
Pete M Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013  plenty have dreamed. few have tried. even fewer have succeeded. changing the rig
JeepcoMJ Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 someone should photoshop one into an FC style truck
jimoshel Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 One of the dreamers. Only thing missing is the drive to start.
jimoshel Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Thought I had seen some pics of one that had been done. A sear ch revealed this. Think he goofed using a XJ rear door instead of a MJ. But still looks nice. Also looks like 6 lug axles. Somebody got a sharper eye than mine? 92tanMJ Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Yeah theyre 6 lug and I agree with the door not looking right
jimoshel Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Been trying to think of a way to get around having the wheel cutout in the rear door. Can't use a front door because of the upper slant. Only thing I can think of is taking two doors, one front and one rear and cutting them in half, horizontally , and welding back together. Or use a 2 dr XJ, Then you would have the back glass to fool with.
ftpiercecracker1 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Why not take a comanche cab, cut it down the center of the door. Then take a 4 door cherokee and do the same to it, but down the back door. Then take the MJ bed and rear section of cab and weld it to whats left of the front section of the XJ Image Not Found Check out this page from Jeepforum. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f53/2000-comanche-crew-cab-4-doors-coming-soon-1327006/index8.html
jimoshel Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I like but there must be something wrong. It's to simple and obvious. Just jealous because I didn't think of it first. I really like the idea of a 2dr extended cab.
JeepcoMJ Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 been there thought about that. it would work if you wanted custom glass...otherwise it still won't look right.

ftpiercecracker1 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Meh, if your gonna go through all the trouble and work it takes to make an extended cab i think you would be kicking your self really hard for not going ahead and making it a 4 dr later down the road. IMHO
jimoshel Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Don't have a family or friends to be hauling around. Just need a little more room behind the seat to stash stuff, and to be different.
Kittrell Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 These have been floating around for quite some time. So, I figured I would put them all in one thread, for reference. Its been years since I did these, I'm not quite sure how long ago it was. The first picture is the "stock" photo that I started with. I was lazy with some of them, as you will be able to tell. Enjoy......or don't.......
shelbyluvv Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Two door window from a pre 97 will fix the rear door glass problem. Make the door fit the glass. I had a door mocked up before I decided to resto mod Betty.

shelbyluvv Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I used a front door lift to get it to go all the way down. The rear regulators only go down 3/4 of the way because of the tire bump. It took 3 doors to make one rear 4 door door!
