Lift For 32" Tires

Recommended Posts

First, what wheels do you plan to use? Factory Jeep rims, or aftermarket? If aftermarket, how much backspacing?

It makes a difference.

Also, do you plan to -- or are you willing to -- remove the flares and cut the sheetmetal, or do you want to keep the body intact?

Hmmm good question eagle....i have a rough country 3inch lift without adjustable control arms and I have the 32x11.5x15 bfg all terrains with mickey thompson 15x8s and they stick out alot but just rub at tight turns on the rear end.of the front fenders bothers me a bit but plan to cut a little bit of the fender....but I put the newer front end and they look so good I'm thinking twice about cutting and just add more lift

Mike,

I have the 3.5 inch Rubicon Express Springs for the front and the Hellcreek MT 3 inch lift in mine. It sits pretty level and based on the measurements I have closer to 4.5 inches of lift. I currently have 31 inch tires with the rancho LCA's and I think I could fit 32's with my current setup. You can stop by and check it out if you want. Just out of curiosity what made you consider lifting your truck?

Eagle:

Thinking of 17" Moab wheels (5x5 bolt pattern) with adapters. Do not want to trim or remove anything, I like the stock flares.

Joe:

Lift is just for kicks, my brother has this extra set of wheels, need something to do, etc.

I'm just in the exploratory phase, may not come to fruition but probably greater than 50% chance it will.

My daughter's Cherokee runs 265/75R16 tires (~32x10.50) on 16" Jeep Liberty wheels with ~4" lift. works okay, but still needs new track bar installed as well as longer control arms. Passenger front tire makes contact with the rear of the wheel opening when hitting a bump on a right hand turn.
