relyt120 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Sounds like you need to rip that thing apart and build a lightweight aluminum frame under it.
88MJNC Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I have been waiting for my Lil girl to get old enough for a power wheels jeep I can trick out for her. But I am wanting the time to fly bye.
Pete M Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 in that case, the 6volt ones are really only for very flat surfaces. but they are slow and small and a good starter if you've got a place for them to ride it. my nephew also has a 6volt atv and it really only goes downhill in the grass. on pavement it's better. I stepped up to the bigger 12 volt jeeps (which have a high and a low speed setting) because all of my parents' land is grass and bumpy/hilly.
armyofchuckness Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Too cool! Way to make me feel bad as an uncle, though. :P I need to step up my game. Can't wait to see this develop further.
Pete M Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 tweaked the front steering to get rid of some of that tow-out. and I added a flag so he'll be ready for the trail rides. :D
Pete M Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 and since his grandpa was out washing his Liberty, Zayne had to follow suit with his Jeep.
92tanMJ Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Well this is abosuletly awesome!! But from reading all of this it sounds to me like youre at this point:
92tanMJ Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Nice Pete! I think those rims need to be black rather than white!
Pete M Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 I like black rims too, but I was going for the classic CJ look. It was convenience that HF wheels were white rather than laziness on my part to not change them. maybe in the future when he's old enough to form an opinion we can change them to suit his tastes. they are 2-piece wheels so it's a cinch to pull them apart and hit them with paint.
92tanMJ Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Oh well in that case leave them! Lol But thank you for giving me ideas when I have kid hahaha you defendently need to figure out that lift though
Pete M Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 I saw a guy that lifted his by using another body and nesting them together (and then cutting away anything that wasn't needed so it didn't look like 2 stacked Jeeps). gave a few inches of lift and kept the drive hub geometry factory.
JFAComanche6 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 This has gotta be the greatest thing I've ever seen.
TheDirtyJeep401 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 That is awesome . Now all it needs is so off road lights. :laughin: Lol . Goes to show you can never be too young to own a jeep!
H3RESQ Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I wish you were closer, I would offer to paint that up, I think it would be really fun.....I dabble in airbrushing....
Pete M Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 that would be sweet for sure :D new photos:
JeepComanche89 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 When I was like 3?, my dad brought home a pink barbie power wheels jeep. His friend brought it for his daughters, but blew the motors putting in a 12 volt battery lol. My dad put in new motors from powerwheels, and painted the whole thing white. My mom, who works for a local paper, designed "sheriff" decals to place all over it, since my dads a sheriff officer. It was the coolest thing ever lol. When I was old enough I used to pretend to work on it, along with all the other rigs in my powerwheels garage.
Pete M Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 nice :D new pic. out collecting sticks for the campfire.
