Roll Bar

Got me a factory original roll bar for a short box MJ today. When I tried to install it, it became very obvious that it won't fit with a bed liner. The way I see it, I have 3 options. Cut holes in the bed liner, not likely. Remove the bed liner and install the roll bar. Leave the bed liner and forget the roll bar. Geeez I hate having to make decisions.

You left out the option where you send it to me on your dime just so you don't have to make that hard decision. Yes, I would be willing to step up and take it off of your hands to save you from agonizing over this. Yes, I am that good of a guy. :D

That bedliner is a comanche one. I have seen them at JY's but they never say Comanche on them. Spray on the bedliner and install the Roll Bar. Keep the bedliner for posterity. That white truck would look great with a factory bar on it so you must have resolve to stay the course and get it installed.

The deed is done.

Checking all parts.

Looking Good,

Nice Fit, No Gap,

At this time I would like to thank all the CC members for their comments and encouragement as without them I probably would still be trying to make up my mind as to what course of action I should take. It's really a shame that I noticed a scratch in the paint so I guess I'm just going to have to remove and scrap it. Pity. :jump:

OK, where do you live, do you have a security system at you house, remote monitoring, IR trip wires, flood lights, killer chihuahuas or other type guard dogs? Anything else of the sort to prevent me from stealing this?

I am very skimpy on my security system. 12 gauge shotgun, .41 Ruger Magnum and a 1927 Thompson, fully functional. Good luck, I quit shooting when, if, you can reach the street.

If you C#*@ the shotgun there's a 99.9% chance you'll never pull the trigger if they are within earshot. Besides then you get a show and less mess.

Edit: So C#*@ is censored, eh? Sweet deal. :shake:

However, I really like the look of that roll bar. It'll look great with matching black bed liner. I would definitely hold on to the drop in BL though just because of what it is. Albeit, it does take up space.

Have been hunting since I was 12 years old. Got my first deer, a 4 point buck when I was 13. Completed Army Ranger training in '54, Tour in Korea in '53 with 187 Airborne. Two tours in 'Nam with 101 Airborne, One tour in Nam with 1st Marine Division. Current arsenal consists of over a dozen rifles, 14 handguns and 3 shotguns. The shotgun has a round chambered and only needs the safety moved, I do believe I am familiar with fire arms and how to use them. However your concern was appreciated. Jim

Nah, not commenting on you ability to use the weapons by any means... just the fear instilled by simply cocking the gun, it may simply be more entertaining.
