sinnaevd Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 What colour should i repaint my MJ after i change to the new front end current colour: light blue Thanks Fellas
Kenosha Warrior Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 start it orange/red/green on the nose and fade it to black/green on the back. roughly around the middle of the door start the slanted line where the colour really changes, run it on a line about 45° to the top-corner of the cab.
randimal Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Hey, mines the same color. Leave it. Long live the smurf trucks!!!
DirtyComanche Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 White with black cow spots. Cowmanche. It looks cool.
Kenosha Warrior Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 White with black cow spots. Cowmanche. It looks cool. we're going to do that to my cuz's old hunting XJ, but I may be doing it to my 'manche.
sinnaevd Posted December 6, 2006 Author Posted December 6, 2006 i like how it looks, but when I change to the newer style front end, i don't think it will look right
aemsee Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Next year I want to do the newer front end on mine and change the color from silver to the Deep Slate of the 5.9 limited. Should look good with the black interior.
sinnaevd Posted December 6, 2006 Author Posted December 6, 2006 thats what i was kinda looking to do. I want to change to a new colour, but on the same token i will have to pull it apart to do the body work that needs to be done I don't mind doing the body work, but I also can't have it off the road for too long as it is/will be a DD
Druville Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 most of the options you've posted are common as apple pie. i voted something crazy just b.c thats the way i am. when i fix all the body damage on mine, I'm going to take my love of rat rods to my truck. flat black with orange/yellow/red flames and red wheels. i did it to my old chevette and got a ton of looks from it, i think it would be awesome on a lifted truck. so you can do anything but that, that is also crazy haha.

pingpong Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 I say go for pepto bismo pink, or barney purple... maybe big bird yellow :D Or a combination there of :nanner: Remember the Olympic edition of the VW jetta that was like 5 different colors :brows: each panel different.. get the idea :chillin:
500 MJ Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Looks like someone cleaned out their spare paint cabinet on that toyota. My advise on the paint would be to first off think of what you will be doing with your comanche before you paint it. Flat paint hides scratchs a lot better than high gloss. Also dark shows more scrathes than light colors. The rest is personal opinion.
Pete M Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 So far I'm keeping mine red. Hides the rust better. :D
