AFTER MARKET EXHAUST

Recommended Posts

Most of us have built our own. Using our muffler of choice and a stock tail pipe. In my case, I have no tail pipe over the axle. mine exits in front of the rear wheel, but in the wheel well.

Cherry bomb glass packs are a favorite, they are not too loud when new if the stock cat is kept. They are WAY durable!!

exhaust pipe http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp ... 5471137___

then all i would need to do is pick out the muffler i want and this would be real close to stock? can anyone check on this for me. I need this truck to be as quiet as possible....

oh yeah one thing i forgot to check when i was posting the websites (which i will check prior to ordering parts) was if they were for a long bed or short. i just put those up there to see if there was anything else you guys could think of that i would need to replace the whole exhaust minus the converter (no inspections in florida :D

In this case, I would just buy the best factory replacement the parts store had. Most likely a Walker system.

Check this link, it will give you the Walker page on the MJ, with Walker part #'s

also.......you mentioned some thing about not installing a Cat. If you don't you need to make up a "test" pipe in place of the Cat. Mine, I run the Cat w/o sniffer tests up here, plus with the 4 bolt square flange, it all bolts together easier.

i had a dynomax superturbo on mine for a few years.it was alittle louder than stock but not so loud it was annoying.they're not real expensive.on the same note i like loud exhaust so i went back with a flowmaster 2 1/2 and 2 1/ 2 aluminzed tailpipe and high flow catco converter.

I have seen the dynomax setups with muffler and tailpipe, 2 1/2 inch on summit racing for like $100. If you go with one, let us know how you like it. I have thought about picking one up for my ZJ, as I'm gonna steal my supertraps off of it for the small block ford MJ. Good luck!
