no havnt tried them yet, i know what i would do if i could spend the money to make this truck a regular driver, however with life getting in the way this is really only going to be a budget hunting, can't afford to do the axle swap/lift/tires/flatbed/boxes and everything else i would love to do. the boxes are a necessity for its use so thereby the flat bed as well since everything won't fit into the small bed. I'm thinkin ill stick with a 4.5 aal and some front trimming for 33s until i can afford a d44/gears/lockers etc... if i start to spend to much on it momma will get rid of it while I'm at work, and tell me to just by a 3/4 ton so i don't have to change the axles and build new boxes...

Nice, where did you order your lift what size tires and which rear axle? -
But... To what pressure? Shop air is gonna be 120PSI, you don't want THAT in a tire. And they aren't going to read the manual; how dare anyone suggest such a thing. It's unfortunate, but most people don't have a clue. So the light comes on and they take it in. Or they drive around with the light on forever. Or, if your a cop, in my case, you call the mechanic(me), and I have to run my butt out to where ever your parked after your nap, to make sure the car is ok to drive to the shop. :fs1: Had a squad car today because he thought the tire separated and was dragging behind the car  ... If he would have just bent down, he could have seen it was some rubber crack sealant from the highway that got caught on the shock mount, and pulled it off himself. ;) :rotf: What a time-waster. Rob L. I take a little offense to that one...however i had a trainee change a flat on my car (just cause he was driving when it went flat) the next day I was running lights and sirens (Fast) anf felt a little shake on the right front (the one he changed) pulled over removed the cap and he only put the lug nuts finger tight :headpop: ......could killed him right then and there. all comes down to common sense (Cops are no different)

" The bold thieves even used Number 3’s own tools to perpetrate the crime, and somehow managed to remove all four wheels without the use of blocks." I gotta tell you most of the crime we have here is because people don't lock their cars/houses. Everytime I take a theft or burglary report i HAVE to ask "was it locked" you have no idea how many people sy i think so, well maybe not i don't know." :wall: :wall:

went to pepboys to buy a new bosh pump and the one they sold me had the name carter on it. the salesperson said carter and bosch murged? took it home went to swap it in and the dang thing is like two inches too long and way to fat :fs1: :fs1: :fs1: any ideas? is there a possibility the PO put a differrent fuel pump mounting deal in? anyone know the dimensions of the fueld pump its self so i can measure both the old and new

yeah id like to stick a d44 under it, but there are really no u pulls i know of around here, and all i can find locally on craigslist are front d44s. I really just want to stick some more meat into the fenderwells for better tranction if i need it, other than that this truck will get used maybe four times month to haul the dogs and a couple buddies out to the orange groves. no real city or rough off raod use

Project Swamp Yankee UPDATE: 36" TSL SX
Deleted user replied to BJA814's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
what size tires are you running on the 6.5 lift? -
oh yeah and what does SANS mean?
-
Eventually I'm gonna do a flat bed. Since I already have to build new dog box as well as hog box It would do me more good to utilize all the bed space wheel wells included. The truck sits on 31s now and just seems to small and not a whole lot of ground clearange under the front chunk which will cause a problem for its application. Id love to put 36-37s on it but that would just be to impractical and it wouldnt hold up. everything ive read on the net says the dana 35 is rated to either a 33 or 35 (can't remember) which is why i want 33s as well as them being wider for the mud. the flat bed being at my waist line would be ideal, that way if i need to work on the dogs or get somethin out of the box i don't have to break my back bendin over.
-
yeah i hear ya pete. I'm just looking for the cheapest/easiest way to get a little more clearance and to stuff some 33s. The ride isnt all that important as most of this trucks duty will be idleing up and down orange grove rows, and eight mile roundtrip to and from. My other concern is how to make the rear suspension stiffer for the flat bed I'm gonna eventually put on it
-
then id have to drop the axle and trust someone elses welds, foind this website http://rocky-road.com/comanche.html this kit comes with the full ift kit as well... just need to get 33s on her to take in the soft stuff no wheeling just gettin through some mud while hunting..
-
ive done this to reseat four wheeler tires on the trail (my friends all give me grief cause its in the "KIT") i know it works i just can't figure out how to get the bead off..
-
whered you get that from?
-
Any thoughts on how to pop the bead? That's not lazy, that is good customer service. That guy will remember you when he needs a set of tires. I worked in a tire shop when I was in high school and college and we had a hand tool that could pull them out without breaking the tire down if the valve stem was in decent shape. WE also had an air tool that would shoot them in from the outside. It was pretty slick. if you want to do it yourself though, you can get a little valve stem tool for a few dollars. It has a little T handle that you can pull it in the hole with. Use a little soapy water as a lubricant. It also has a core remover which you will likely need to get enough air volume to get the tire bead to re-seat. If you don't have a tire hammer to break the bead, I had a guy tell me one time that you can prop a board on the bead and use it like a ramp and use a car do drive on the board to break the bead. I've never tried it before so i am not sure, proceed with caution. BTW, if it is a large tire/wide rim, it is a real pain in the rear to get a bead to re-seat if you don't have the tools and know what you are doing. The air will just escape from around the side of the rim. If you keep the one side seated it is possible to lay the tire down flat facing up and lift up on the tire at the same time having someone put air in it, again it can be a pain. You might also be able to prop up the tire edges with blocks and such and put the air in yourself. so if you like doing painful stuff for cheap (like most jeepers) you can get a tool for $3 to remove the stem and get a stem for $3 and spend 30 mins doing it yourself or you can take it to a shop and get it done for $5-$10. Yeah i though about tryin it with the 4 wheeler just didnt think it was heavy enough..
