WahooSteeler
Unbelievably, I saw this truck about 2 weeks ago when I was over in Staunton and now I run across it on eBay! It resides about 10mins from me. I certainly hope his reserve is WELL below his BIN price. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-jee ... 240%3A1318

mfpdm
10K is more than fair since it has a "custom grenade shifter" :clapping: When it pisses you off bad enough, you just pull the pin and bail out. :peek: runs great i drive it everyday for work.has a/c but needs recharged. check engine light is on casuse electric fan wouldnt work so i jumped the wired so it runs when key is on. 2 bolts missing out of passenger seat so it rocks a bit. rear doesnt have sratbelts but it has the recievers and anchor points for lap belts. and on occasion it grinds going into reverse. and could probably use a allignment due to slight vibration in front when getting up to speed. and it is missing the passenger side mirror. housing is there just no glass. You think after all the trouble to do this, and asking 10K, he could throw a charge on the a/c, fix the fan instead of rigging it, put some bolts in the seat, get an alignment (Don't think it's going to solve the vibes though) and replace the mirror. :shake: This is what I was hinting about in the other thread when I brought up doing the interior right. Lack of shoulder restraints, gap at the back corner, and sound bar just wedged in place. Don't get me wrong. Its nice what he did. He could get that price if he had put the extra effort in the fine details. Appears he went across Rustys website with a crap magnet. :D Maybe I'm just to picky. :dunno:

JeepcoMJ
don't forget to mention that the engine should be fresh, not dirty as hell and probably poorly maintained. the rear bumper should at least be aftermarket not banged up. the gerry can should have a mount not a strap the front bumper should at least be put on straight...but an ARB bumper is essentially a 1-time use bumper (i.e. it takes a hit then is garbage...exactly what it was designed for) so I think it should have a bumper that weighs more than 100 lbs. it should have a high pinion front end (i didn't look if it did or not) and a dana 44 rear, with lockers all around and discs all around. and then it should have more than a spray-bomb paint job at that price. I agree except for the paint. Hot Rod flats is some good stuff... Its not spray bomb, but mostly a three part paint.. I hope they added satin clear.. Still looks kinda hacked together... DirtyComanche
Over-priced turd. It doesn't matter what it COST to build, it ain't worth anywhere near that. Throw in issues (stupid stuff like a seat missing bolts) and it makes me think either the seller is broke, or he doesn't care and is flipping something he overpayed for. Pete M
There's always the chance that he wife was sick of the pile o' crap in the driveway and forced him to put it up for sale. "Seriously sweety, no one seems to want to buy it. I've had it on classifieds and even ebay!"
Giffer
i think its one of the better looking XJ's ive seen. 10 grand is a little steep, but if hes selling his baby then how do we put a price on that. looks like there is alot of work put into her though. i plan on build one up like that for my brother, hes got a wife and kids so he need the back seat. but i will be putting in atlease 3 point seatbelts and making sure everything is bolted down.
