Jerry
I don't know, it might look alright in a different colour, with huge wheels, a lift kit, roll bar, winch, nerf bar, a shovel lashed to the fender...... I'll stop there shall I!!! edit: some mud might help too.
robfg67
It's got those nice Datsun era hooks around the bed too!
BLHTAZ
I am not sold on the grill/front end look, but over-all...I like it  Reading some of hte comments on that site I found this... I like it as well... looks at least as good as the Jeep Comanche pickup did. Hopefully it won't rust as bad as the Comanche did. :clapping: :rotf:

papastork
looks like a chopped up liberty to me..... but... maybe it's a platform to work on? (or from), i don't think i'll be trading in "eugene" for one. i like "eugene" to much. oil leaks and all.
WahooSteeler
I think it looks like, well, like a Chinese vehicle. Like a fish or something? Maybe it's an optical illusion, but the rear flares look half the size as the front ones. Let me put it more simply..........I hate it.
Red 1989 MJ
I don't like it, look cheap, Look like the old 80's Datsun Pick-up. :huh???:

No, it's the BUG eyes I don't like LOL. Just the whole Libby front end doesn't look like a truck. The first thing that came to mind was one of those mini trucks, i.e. the little motorcycle engined van cabs with a bed behind it riding around on 10" wheels LOL. Should have a couple of weedeaters and a load of sand in it running around a golf course or something.
dasbulliwagen
It appears to have Toyota style 6 lug wheels, and the cab and bed body looks kinda like toyota also. Wonder if this thing is for real, or something someone built for their own amusement? Gotta be more of a real Jeep than a frickin Compass or Patriot! Kinda cute too. I think its growing on me! I noticed wheels as well, I think the cab is actually a modified kj. The bed. Well. I would bet it's a pretty orignal creation.

And all things utilitarian look good to me. Personally I find form over function pretty damm sexy. And this thing just exudes function with an utter disregard to form. I bet it can't haul more than 2 bags of dog food and while it might get you to work on a snowy day, that's about all you'll get out of the 4wd!
mfpdm
I am truly amazed at how many of you like it. Wow. :agree: What a turd. Looks like IFS but can't say 100%. I hate that we've stood for German engineering and now are going to China for the next Jeep design. I'm sure the customer base in China knows exactly what us good ole boys in the USA need. At least you could go get a libby and hack it up to make one instead of wanting just another Chinese product in the country. What the hell, China has us by the balls anyway with the money the government has borrowed from them. And no, I'm not a racist, I'm just prejudice against crap from China. When is enough enough. garmj
It ptobably wasnt designed to carry ANY dog food cause over there dogs ARE food. :D But seriously i would like to see a quad cab version powered by the 3.7. robfg67
This is not a production vehicle. It's based on the last generation Liberty and does not have any name or logo on the bonnet, neither a Jeep nor a BAW nor a Beijing-Jeep's. Considering that the Chinese/American joint venture is now history that makes this Liberty-style pickup truck the one and only in the world. This truck was presented as a gift to the Chinese Military Museum in Beijing in January 2008.
