  1. Derf, yeah, I'm sure there has been fading over the years. What I'm asking is, if different interior colors over the years apply to the dash, the trim only, or both.
  2. I also have a '92 MJ with the "Dark Sand" interior color. Boy, the color of the '92 dash board looks like the earlier model colors "Tan" or "Sand" to me. Did the "Dark Sand" color only apply to the plastic interior trim pieces and not the dash board? Thanks
  3. Sorry for the delay on this. I've had my hands full with another Jeep that I picked up recently. I couldn't find any issues with the lines at the top of tank. My plan is to slightly overfill it and look again.
  4. Any ideas on what to check for? As stated, it only smells when tank is filled. There are no leaks/drips. No smell at all when tank is below full.
  5. I like it! You've got other chrome in the windshield moulding and front bumper to tie it all together.
  6. Crap, sorry about that. I forgot that I posted it to the registry already.
  7. Here are the pictures from the parts catalog that detail the 10/4/88 difference:
  8. Thanks for all the responses. I just added the VIN to the registry. The 87-90 Parts Catalog that I have in digital form lists on page 584 that the AX5 was changed on 10/4/88 and has two different part numbers for the transmission: Pre 10/4/88: 5300 3024 Post 10/4/88: 5300 6169
  9. I have a 1988 MJ with the 2.5L, the 5-Speed Manual AX5, and it is 2WD. From looking through the factory parts manual, it appears that the AX5 transmission for my application changed on 10/4/88 and I'm not sure of the build date of this Jeep. This transmission was used on all MJ's and XJ's from 87-90, but there are two different ones used. Questions: 1. Would it matter which version I sourced? Are they interchangeable? How can you tell what the differences are? 2. My '88 is 2WD. Does it matter if I get a replacement one that was mated to a transfer case? Thanks
  10. No response, so I ordered from Kody in Maine.
  11. Hey, I'm missing a couple of parts to my charcoal gray bench seat. I need the following: Driver side hinge frame trim cover The oval shaped plastic seat trim that the female side of the seat belt fits through. I only need one, but I'll buy both if you don't want to split a pair. Thanks
  12. The classic car market is soft right now. With that being said, that truck would sell for significantly more than $20k, but not $85k...ever.
  13. I've tested my RENIX stock coolant system recently. I went down to the local auto parts store to rent the complete tool for nothing. Why don't you do the same?
  14. That's a very good price.
  15. Yeah, maybe the '90 model year had this type only. On another note, do you think that blue MJ on BaT right now will go for over $20k? I do.
  16. I'm looking for a lighted sun visor for my '90 MJ and I have the style with the bend/fold at the end. The only ones that I see listed on eBay currently are either the shorter ones without the bend/fold at end or the long ones that have the narrow end. Will the short one without the bend/fold work with my truck?
  17. What Eagle said. There are lots of guys who buy new Wranglers and sell off new tires to go bigger.
  18. Nice truck. He's asking all the money.
  19. That's a very fair price.
  20. Good find, but there is a lot missing there. And to the seller's credit, he is upfront about it. To my eye, those hooks are not factory and the curved pair of braces and a pair of tow eye brackets are missing.
  21. Right now, on eBay, there are a red, blue, and tan factory carpets available.
  22. I expect eBay to shut down that listing any moment. It looks like the "seller" is just using eBay for free advertising.
  23. It's gone! Who bought it?
  24. eBay has a bunch.
