The boat is underwater, only thing visible is the top of the bench backrest rail on the pier. Still raining like a beeatch. About 6" more and water will be over the bridge getting into here. Going to be a long night..........

BUT, we do still have power and plenty of cold Miller HL.

Hey Wolfpack, you calling me a liar zoomie? In case you haven't noticed it's dark now? Anyhow, here's one I snapped ay 1630 just before it got black. Excuse the quality, didn't have my night vision camera at the ready. Water's about 2' higher now and still rainin'.

hornbrod you have forgot the announcement for gettin underway :rotfl2: away the special sea and anchor detail

Aye shipmate I did. :D The pier has broken loose from the concrete moorings I had on the stanchions and has floated to the top still secured to shoreline tree. AAAAARRRRRGH....

Least I don't have to worry about any tides. The rain be slacking off a bit now though,

I think you need to be getting the boat out and putting the plug back in it in case you have to shove off,,,, shove off of your roof that is...

I've winched the old 60's vintage Alumacraft up as far as it will go on the underwater shoreline, and it's secured so it's not going anywhere. So much for the integrity of the vintage underseat floatation tanks. Good to know for future use. The house is 20' above the lake, so we be good to go.

just giving you a hard time. We had flooding like this back home a few years ago, foothills of NC. When the River makes it to the top of its 9' banks it is getting to be a bad day, when it makes it the next 7 ft to the bridge, things started getting interesting. Luckily we were in your situation and live a solid 150' above the lowest point around (pond in the middle of a small valley). Dad always laughed pretty hard when the door to door insurance salesmen would come around trying to get him to buy flood insurance.

When you insured/bought your house did they happen to tell you what flood plain your area was in? 20yr, 50yr, 100yr? I asked cause someone in my neighborhood found out that the above mentioned rains brought the level up to the 100yr plain and his NEW house...
