Anyone else get tired of fabbing?

I've pretty much been fabbing the poop out of my Toyota, cause I don't have any money. After bumpers, suspension, driveshafts, fender tubbbing, and all that sort of crap, I'm finally sick of fabbing! I'm ready to buy some stuff! I'm concerned. Comfort me people.

i understand..always working ona tight budget kills, save up and buy something useless for tghe truck, like a stereo, or something shiney, and take a break, go wheeling or work on other projects for a bit

Go do something as a change of pace. Electrical issues? Spend 8 hours trying to figure them out. Then when you go back to fabbing everything seems really fun.

i fab cuz i broke and can get the steel really cheap or free...hehe :D

I fab because it's fun. It lets me be creative and test new ideas. I'm broke too, but I'd still fab if I was rich, just with better tools. :D There are some things that I can't fab though. You won't catch me making some 4.88 gears anytime soon, and those are the next big things in my buildup. Lockers and gears. It sucks not having a disposable income. :(

I agree with the others, take a break....and yea it sucks not having the money! :cry: Lets look at it another way tho, emphasize the good. To me, fabbing is a blend of art and science where you are the author/creator of something unique.

Many of us, including myself, lack such skills which can be frustrating when something breaks or needs replacing and we don't have the money to buy or the equipment, raw materials or talent to fabricate. :headpop: So, take a break, but don't lose site of your ability and talent to do something that many of us can only dream about :clapping: !

i don't know about my fabbing as art ;) but its functional...lol

not sure who had the bright idea to cut the bumpstop tubes off the MJ before i got it but i had to fab something up today......

used some pipe i found and bought the screw on caps so i can take them off for spring removal/install.... :brows: i'm gonna weld a plate to the bottom for the bumpstop to bolt to

I uess that's a benifit of going classic befr jeeps. hopefully with the sale of the charge I will have enough to do all major costly mods all at once, and then fab like crazy once the lift/axles/engine is done. but be proud of always fabbing. your lucky to be good at it becyz i know i am awful...but love to do it lol

I agree with all the take a break guys. And buy better tools. Wouldn't you rather have a cold saw than some pre-made bumpers?

Lol, I already drive a Yota hybrid since the Manche's still in construction.

 

I'm takin a break now. Playin around with wiring.
