Pete M Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Check out this post in the Problems forum: http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11077 And feel free to try and try again in the Test forum. Posting pics can be tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. Trust me.
garmj Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 Lets give this a try And hope for the best[/img]
garmj Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 And This will be the main body color with a silver twotone panel down the sides. More pics later.[/img]
88XJSport Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 What color is that? It looks like GM's Laser Blue Metallic...
garmj Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 Its from a company called Trinity Auto Paint, its cheap Acrylic Enamal but sprays real nice. Its a little more Purple than I planned but everyone who has seen it likes it. Its called Saphire Blue Metallic its only $46.00 a gallon + shipping. The silver panel down the side should calm it down a little. :brows:
88XJSport Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Oh ok. It reminds me of this color from GM. Its usually found on the Impala SS, Monte Carlo SS, Malibu SS, Equinox, etc.
garmj Posted October 26, 2008 Author Posted October 26, 2008 Updated pics. New front sheetmetal installed bed removed and minor body work in progress.
garmj Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 Primary color painted on cab,now I caqn reinstall the bed.

Pete M Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I fixed that first post for ya. Click on the edit button to see what it should look like. Try to keep the photo addresses on separate lines in your post. It can be tough to get them right if they are all jumbled together.
jtdesigns Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Looks good, but I'd paint the cab vents the same color blue. Awesome paint scheme though!!
GaruMJ Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Looks good, but I'd paint the cab vents the same color blue. Awesome paint scheme though!! :agree:
Darren Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 very nice. I wish I could do that. All the bodywork I've ever done involved a sazall or angle grinder.
MJ300 Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 As is everyone else I'm loving the paint job  How does look on the tailgate though?
WahooSteeler Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I dig it. In some pics it looks deep blue, in others you see the purple. The silver does exactly what you want it to. IMO the cab vents need to be std black. There are certain plastic accent pieces on cars that only work as black, just like it came off the line. MJ cab vents are one of those items. Plus, whether you have black bumpers or chrome (which IMO is the way to go with those bold colors) I assume you'll have black end caps and the black cab vents will tie in nicely with the front and rear bumpers. When I look at that truck, I'd swear I'm looking at the '84 S-10 blue and silver two-tone my family had. Especially with those 5 spokes which were the same as the S-10s. Keep the pics coming, looks great!
garmj Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 I can always change the b pillar vent color but the front and rear bumper color wil be silver there will be a silver accent on the hood and some striping. Just want it to look different than another truck in the area. More pics to come. :D
