thought of that

got shut down

here is my list of rigs

1989 toyota x-cab built 5.29 duals 37 irocks main rig

90 comanche beater wheeler

88 xj freebie not road safe

1986 single cab f350

1981 f250 single cab on 35s

1974 f150 on 36s

1986 j10 on 35s

1988 toyota x-cab on 33s

1998 durango wrecked rebuilder

1985 ford ranger on 32s

her question is am i willing to have just 2 rigs wheeler and tow rig daily driver. Also it need to hold all of us while on the trail and getting there comfortably, She has a brand new HHR wich is good but we all need to be able to go camping and wheeling.

I don't think her request of me making the list a lot smaller is to much. She has supported every choice i have made including my spending 13k on just my toyota last year.

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

If it were up to me, I'd go looking for one of the original, stretched 2-door Unlimiteds from the first year they were offered, when they still had the 4.0L engine.

Either that, or graft the back of an MJ to the frint of a 4-door XJ. But that's a lot of work if you're taking care of a rug rat.

My personal opinion, do with it what you want:

Keep the Jeeps. This is a no brainer.

Get rid of the Toys.

Get rid of the Ranger.

Prune the herd of FS Fords

Buy a decent XJ for her/family DD/wheeling

After fixing up above XJ and having taken all usable parts of the freebie, junk what's left.

Possibly fix the Durango for a tow rig to hold the family.

My first thought when I saw your post was...get an XJ. Since you don't like them, I would then have to go along with trimming the herd and agree with Eagle on the TJ Unlimited ('03-'04 Rubicon if possible) as the family wheeler. Plenty of room and a capable rig right out of the box.

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!. it's not every day that you learn a part of you will go on after you check out. The only thing is, now you have to look for the service manual that goes with the new addition :brows:

Second, I agree with Mvusse :

I know you said you don't care for XJ, and it appears she has been quite reasonable with your passion...er, hobby :D and unless you really like Fords that's where I'd start.

first i don't need a dd wheeler and she dosent want a wheler she has a brand new CHEVY HHR wich she love scord hig in crash tests bla bla

i don't want payments on my wheelr

i need a 4 seat wheeler

so here is what she i and the guys at work csme up with

1998 durango

sas d60 front

60 rear

208-231 doubler

37 irocks off the toyota

sell all but the toy becous i have had it for ever

dd the toy

her dad just gave me a 91 surburban tow rig i use it more than he dose

with the stipulation that i sell all of my rigs. use the mone from the rigs to build the durango.
