  1. Ahhh... a fellow NEOWer. Welcome to the world of the MJ.
  2. Here is a pic of the floor. I picked up a set of Eliminator bucket seats and center console top at the local boneyard. (for those of you that don't have the console notice that unlike the one from an XJ, the E brake slot is filled) I also have installed parts of my old XJ lift into the MJ. I replaced my old 3" lift springs and 2" spacer with RE 5.5" Extreme duty springs. (The RE track bar in the pic has to go due to the fact it is only threaded in about 3 turns) Here is a pick of the rear tire tucked up in the rear wheel well. With the lift up front and stock hieght in the rear the rear of the bed almost hits the ground before the suspension bottoms out.
  3. After parting out my 1987 XJ last year I picked up my next project. It is a 1988 MJ LWB, 4.0L, 5 spd., D30/D35. It is a bit ruff but has potenial. It needs the floor on the drivers side patched, the exhaust manifold is cracked and the rear break lines are rusted through. I have lots of plans for it and it should be a fun build.
  4. :thwak: I already agreed to buy it. :chillin: I was just wondering the going rate. I did some searching around and it is a fair price.
  5. I have a chance at a MJ D44 w/ 3.07 gears (same as my truck currently) with good brakes and drums. What is it worth?
  6. Wait I may have figured it out. Does the site give you a pop up when you have a PM? I am not sure what the pop up is because my blocker gets it each time.
  7. I have been getting them lately when logging on to the forum. I never used to get them. Anyone else?

    yo ho ho!

That doesn't really mean anything. My 87 XJ said AMC on the keys, had the the AMC logo on the instument panel and seat belt buckles also. If its an 88 and has a 4.0L it is without a doubt a Chrysler Jeep. Oh yeah BTW.... don't feel bad about the oil filter thing, my boss did the same thing to his 04 Silverado. :D
  9. Me too.... http://www.myjeepspace.com/Jeepjunkie
  10. I am not 100% sure so someone chime in but I don't think any of the trasmissions offered in 1986 will bolt up to the 4.0L.
  11. What part of Maine are you in? I am right below you in NH.
  12. Yeah, it will fix the floor nicely but there was a heck of a lot of spot welds to drill out.
  13. I cut the floor out of a 96 XJ a friend was parting out and plan to stiched it in. Still have not finished it though. I need gas for the welder. Just a little surface rust.
  14. I Figured I would share mine too. Mine was caused when the window came off the track in the down position and the PO never fixed it. :headpop:
  15. Maybe that's it. It is working again. :dunno:
  16. That's funny... I have a Toy 8" sitting in the shed waiting to go in next year with a waggy D44 front. I am going to be using my old Cherokee w/ AW4 front shaft.
  17. New or unread posts no longer light up. This happening to anyone else? :hateputers:
  18. I am planning on swapping out my french slop box for an AW4. As I understand the AW4 is longer. I am also going SOA with .75 lift shackles. I need some opinions on weather or not the lift pulling the yoke out of the T case will equal out the added length of the tranny.
  19. It looks like a rolling prison. :D
  20. I have been thinking of doing almost the same cage on my MJ but, one difference is I was going to add tubes that go from the rear of the roof , down the side of the truck and attach to the rock rails to prtect the rear of the cab in a rollover. Kind of like this.... (my add ons in orange)
  21. It is a Century cap. It is Comanche long bed specific..... it is also forsale.

My spiders are just a mass of welded metal and I beat them every chance I get.
