  5. When i was in P-cola for A-school we were alowed to have a POV down there. i think most people walk and take cabs because your only there for a short time and its one less thing to worry about. Erik :beerhead:
  6. Maybe once we get the MJ of the month up and running we can use the winners truck for the logo. The subgreen kicks doopa BTW, awsome job Pete! Erik :beerhead:

  8. Wow, thats sucks, our cable system had a generator back-up, but we also provide telephony on top of cable and internet so its a little more important to keep things running. Erik :beerhead:

  14. Was having power to you ciggerette lighter an option? my 86 and my first 88 both had it, there was two wires going to the back of the plug. the 88 i have now only has one wire. could i just get the wires from an xj of the same year? Erik :beerhead:
  15. I have a couple of small brake problems here. the first is me parking brake, it hold fine from rolling forward but barely at all from rolling backwards. the second is sometimes when i reverse and hit the brakes, they seem to hold when i start going forward, only for a few feet, but its still annoying. 16. Thanks Jordan, I'm sure we will have another big MJ parts exchange again so we can see each others MJ's. There will be more to come
  17. Thanks for the compliments! The truck is the polor opposite of what i wanted, i was trying to find a LWB with a AW4, but i couldnt pass this deal over, I'm really happy with the purchase considering i sold my 86 2.hate auto for $1250.BTW the switches are for the lights. Erik :beerhead:
  18. This will be a slow going project so don't expect updates to come very often. I bought this truck in Long Island NY. for $900. Its an 88 pioneer SWB, 4.0, 5 Spd. It came with the factory rollbar, factory gas tank and transfer case skids, bucket seats, cargo light, interior lights package a dash clock and a 3 inch lift. I didnt take any before pics so i'll just start from where its at now. When i got it the front bumper was trashed and there rear was non existent so the first thing i did was replace those, then i added some 6 inch lights i got from e-bay real cheap and put in a center console. The future plans so far will be a 97+ front clip, new paint, I'm leaning toward stone white moab rims steel bumpers power doors spare tire carrier cowl hood some type of storage in the bed and maybe a sunroof just to name the bigger things. Erik :beerhead:
  19. its got 3 inches under it, thats why i need bigger tires. Erik :beerhead:
  20. I finally ditched my 86 and picked up this 88 about two months ago in NY for $900, just now got around to takin a couple of pics. I could only take two before my camera died, but two is enough for now. I replaced the bumpers about a week ago, next is the rear window, hammer out the dents, and fix the floors. Long term plans are bigger wheels, paint, 97+ front clip, power doors, steel bumpers and well....i could go on forever if i start naming all of the small stuff. 22. I agree about the line-x looking too rough. What about POR-15, i know it would be more expensive, but its smooth and functional. Getting back to the rattle can paint job, would it be wise to use a rattle can clear coat also? Erik :beerhead:
