 I will be doing this very soon for sure, or you can just give me your truck so io don't have to worry about making one myself.... :brows: nice work! -
No, nobody wants more power on the trail. I've never heard of anybody swapping in a V8 into a trail rig. :thwak: Yes. Willy Mine was all time 4wd and it was good offroad for not having any lift, just bfg at's. only wish it came with a 5spd.

well, when i bought mine back in 05, i got it for $6400 which was a couple hundred under blue book, now the bluebook is $9200.....maybe one day hell just want it off the lot and i can snag it back "cheap". :brows:

Have you thought about trading your Comanche for a new Jeep?
smithe1811 replied to mknherhappy's topic in The Pub
In my opinion taking advantage of this Cash for Clunkers is to ok socialism. Those in Federal Government and a lot of State government are poking their noses into areas that are NOT for the government, spending more money than comes in as they do this (Obama inviting Gates and the officer that arrested him to the white house to "fix" things shows this to the "nth" degree), and at some point taxes will be raised to pay for it (even if raised on the rich only, soon those at the lower level of the rich fall out of that category making fewer there to tax so the tax rate goes up causing more to fall out and .... well, it goes on and on until there are no more rich to tax and then they tax those on the next lower level and soon everyone is in poverty and we are like North Korea where hundreds wait in line to take a bath at the government run bath house), and WE are letting it happen to us because WE are as inactive in doing anything about it, like the frog that is put into the pot of cool water that is then slowly heated and is cooked before he knows it. WE talk about it, but still let it happen to us and participate in it, and that is to ok it. I will not do any business with any car sales place participating in this program. :agree: well put.... -
Smithe1811's Project Mjolnir

Offroad service? i think you may be mistaken, mine says 24hr road service. I'm guessing it was used to take care of minorly stranded motorists, ran out of gas, flat tire etc...although it does have the lift on it from that company, it had stock tires on it when i got it. -

the dealership that ended up with it after i traded it in back in 06 still has it, everyone is afraid to buy it because of gas prices. plus the guy is asking like $9500 for it now which i think is a bit high for a 98 with 200k on the clock.
-
well, considering it was a 360, all time 4 wheel drive and you had to use high octane fuel, i got about 17 mpg, but i was very heavy footed with it. the best thing in the world was seeing the look on the faces of the guys in those little rice burners when they got spanked buy a stock domestic SUV

My first ZJ was a 98 ltd 4.0, like an idiot i traded it for a 97 dodge ram. then i redeemed myself and found a 98 5.9 ltd, and like an idiot traded it for a comander........worst idea ever BTW. glad it was only a lease that thing was horrible in the snow. anyway, now we have a 97 loredo 4.0. never really had any problems with ZJ's, in fact the only problem i ever did have was about a week ago the 97 got stucj in 4wd, but with some help from here it was resolved quickley.i love the ZJ's, second to the MJ of course :D
