  1. Police were hoping for a good turnout at their "Kicks for Guns" sneaker exchange, but they weren't expecting a surface-to-air missile launcher. An Ocoee man showed up and exchanged the 4-foot-long launcher for size-3 Reebok sneakers for his daughter, the Orlando Sentinel reported Friday. Taking advantage of the exchange's no-questions-asked policy, the man was not identified. He told the Orlando Sentinel that he found the weapon in a shed he tore down last week. "I didn't know what to do with it, so I brought it here," he told the newspaper. "I took it to three dumps to try to get rid of it and they told me to get lost." Besides the missile launcher police collected more than 250 guns. They were all exchanged for sneakers or $50 gift certificates.
  2. Anybody think it may have possibly gotten ported, polished, larger valves, aftermarket camshaft, and possibly gotten bored .030 to .060 out, with a new set of pistons to match? That would leave the crank the same (why wouldn't you just upgrade it with all that work though) and could be the whole deal...
  3. I wish you did too... Fudge... I'm going to make some phone calls this week to a few connections I didnt really think about. Keep your fingers crossed!
  4. How much did you pay? Mine is for sale, although higher mileage and no lift... And an ugly interior...
  5. My sister's warn m8000 doesnt either. the bolts that go into the bumper provide your lateral strength, those bars would do very little, no real need for the lower bars.
  6. :headpop: Which side of the fridge did you get it from?
  7. A few links to check out: All about Winch Motors, Gear Trains, and other important Components A review (including breakdown) of the SmittyBilt XRC8 Winch It actually sounds fairly promising to me, so I may end up going this route when it's time to get a winch.
  8. I think we need another admin around here, just to get cool things accomplished. I'm just saying... :D
  9. Check in more southern Junk yards. I think one of the guy's on here has a buddy with a yard (AMC 4x4 is it?) with a couple complete beds, and good bed sides, I'm sure he will post up.
  10. Yea, we're not sure what Jeepco does to that bench, but it's his... Keep out of my Rum on the top shelf. I too agree. Dump the TJ and get a couple MJ's! :D
  11. what about just some breather filters in place of the lines?
  12. I need to know the compressed and extended lengths of shocks for a 5.5" MJ/XJ lift versus a 5.5" TJ lift. If the numbers are close enough (I know they will be different) I might get a set of used RE monotubes from a buddy that came off his TJ...
  13. Selective Inspections. More or less who looks like a bigger threat. I like when I go to Canada. I don't even have to stop at the tolls (going to Canada). I call ahead to my uncle and ask which booth he's in, and he just waves me on! :D half the other toll guards just say hey, and let me go with no questions, going in either direction. It helps to know people.

it need a real tailgate....then i would buy it I'm sure it wouldn't be very difficult to hack apart a rotted MJ tailgate for the internals to toy around with a JT/JK tailgate if they don't come with a regular one by then...

Maybe you should click on pictures of the TEST MULE, and not the concept... And is it me, or is that an abnormally large D44 diff chillin out back, like D60 proportions...
  16. I'm talking brand new prices here, not used. I'm still shopping for lightly used ones though.
  17. Do it to the 3800, and dress it like an SCCA MJ. That would be SWEET!
  18. But we all know an MJ is better than a TJ, any day, hands down.
  19. Then you paid too much just for wheels...
  20. When I get the cash, Unless someone sells me a set pretty nice for alot cheaper.
  21. I should mention, it's a good chunk-o-change off what quadratec sells them for @ $250 each...
  22. Come on Pete, I know you want it, and we got it on my local club forum, and it works great! Supports multiple vehicles per user, and allows for business reviews, and product/installation ratings and such. Lets you choose your main/favorite vehicle, and puts that under your username beside each post. Also a great way to keep track of costs, to know what the thing is worth!
  23. oldie but goodie.
