  1. nice job on the swap in 2 days. it took me and my firends about 4 months to do just front and back axle swap with a lift. then again that was working on it at my friends house that's about 20mins away. and inbetween our jobs.
  2. It's been cold by me too. not sure how cold, but enough to cause a lifter nock at start up. I am just glad that I haven't had anything happen like this. and I can't wait till it gets warmer again. we are suppost to see the lower 40's soon. that will be nice.

    your first car

Nice, i was lucky then, mine was great for the 34k miles that I put on it.
  5. at least you have some type of light on. I've got nothing, but I can tell that mine is in 4x4 when i pull the lever the truck acts alot different. so I'd have to say that I'm ok. maybe some time I will look into it more. good luck with figureing yours out.
  6. when i bought my mj it didn't have a cat, muffler, or most of it's piping. I was lucky to have enough pipe left off the headder to have a new pipe put on and a Turbo thrush muffler for $20 bucks. and had the local shop mount it all up for $80 bucks. so $100 into my exhaust and it does just fine.
  7. that would be a really sweet swap, but from what I have seen most ppl are doing chevy's. and that is what i'd do. maybe some time I will have the money to..........
  8. I work for an electronics store, and have heard about quite a few xbox's doing this. thanks to good old microsoft and their quality products.
  9. yeah i mean't track bar. sorry for the confusion. thanks for the comments.
  10. well alot more has happend since the axle swap..... were to start, most of the stuff done on the list. I have been driving it lately. just a few weeks ago it blew the head gasket. that was a fun job, 3 nights of about 7hrs each. i will update with pics and more info when i get a chance. here is the most recent pic with 32's, and some work on the rust hole.
  11. I too have had to do that, but then again I have seen it on the wranglers also. and i've done it alot since i work in a stereo shop.

    your first car

I bet most of you haven't heard of my first car. it was an 1984 plymouth turismo. i got it for free from my grandpa. had a sweet sound system that hit a 138db. then i bought my first new car after i knew that the turismo was about to blow up which was a 2000 pontiac grand am gt 4dr. that was a decent car till about the 4th yr i had it. stupid thing was in the shop probably 10 times. best sports car so far is my 04 Hyundai Tiburon, which i bought with only 230 miles on the clock . currently for the winter my 88 mj is great. I have had a few other vehicles like an 99 xj that had a gremlin, and a 94 s-10 blazer 4-dr. hear the turismo is.

    Comanger????

I love this idea!!! a ranger bed on a comanche. so what year was the ranger? I am so going to look into doing this. god, i wasn't reading the other night. the bed was off of a couple of 91ish rangers. cool. it's something to think about.
  19. Congrats on the graduation. my sis in law just graduated too. after my high school graduation I had a party, and made almost a $1k . then that fall i went to college. and to think that is 8 years ago, geezz i can't believe that one.
  20. oh yeah, i wouldn't drive it like that for the rest of its life. that's just stupid. I picked up some springs and new shocks. they will be installed along with the axle. we started to take the old axle out yesterday and the stupid bolt on the torsoin bar broke. so now we have to cut the bolt and then try to get the shank out of the bar. should be interesting tonight with that. I'll post the progress asap.
  21. well most of the list is done. this weekend will be the front axle swap. So that should be fun. so far the things done are: rear bumper pulled back quater panel removed bucket seats in front turnsignal installed old panasonic radio installed more vaccuming of mouse poop and passenger triangle window with new lock installed I'll have some pics up after this weekend.
  22. I work for a circuit city and this is what happened when we got bored awhile back........

    cool jump

what an idiot. I'd never do anything like that.
  24. I just went down this same road. but mine didn't blow up as bad. It should be 3.07 gearing. i just went and got 3.55 axles from a cherokee. I still need to do the front, but it seems the best way to go. good luck finding/figuring it out!!
  25. looks like your having fun. can't wait to see the final product.
