  1. making spacers today then gonna get them in on wednesday and set the rear pinion angle and get the axle full welded/painted too. also puttin in the new e-brake lines probably as they're from a longbed and will be longer. that's theory...we'll see. then once all that's done and the rear brakes are hooked back up, I will be FINALLY doing the cab corners and finish painting the bottom edge black. from there, it's just get steering aligned and new stems on rims/tires balanced, and then get it registered. upgrades this month are lower gears if I can budget for them.
  2. i know what you mean...I had to keep mine in 4th gear at freeway speeds (If I could get to them) or it would lose speed. sometimes 3rd so that thing saw high RPM's at a constant. but I hated it...the 3800 is SOOOO much better...
  3. I trashed the 2.8 because it sucks. bring ur baby out, I'll say it again :P
  4. naxja.org everything you need to know
  5. gave me a hardon.
  6. thanks pete. i'm dumb
  7. oh don't worry, it just showed how your rig was outperformed by everyone elses :P just kiddin man!
  8. it is my professional judgement that you have been owned. ...by that shop. sorry to hear that.
  9. where?
  10. about all they could function as is a plane tow rig. hopefully they don't offroad those ungainly pieces of crap
  11. I feel exactly like that regarding my experience.

point being DON'T BE A CHEAPASS I believe?
  13. don't think i'm mistaken tho...i got the info on this group so someone here knows too.
  14. yea but not in one bundle. I think cerberus or some crap like that owns it now.
  15. hack them off. you can always just get a set from another guy on the club with a parts manche. example, I have NO problem with plasma cutting mine off tatersalad and shipping them to you when I part it out. so go ahead and cut yours out...cut the brackets, not the frame though, and I'll cut mine out nicely for you by fall and even include that portion of the frame rail if you'd like. you pay shipping of course...
  16. hehe, I feel the same way. I'm just puttin off fixin it b/c i don't need to drive far, or over 55mph very often right now, and the whole front axle itself could be causing it...it's bent at the outer left "C" knuckle so it needs replacing...just lookin for one that's got 3.73 gears and is a disco and high pinion.
  17. hehe, you made me chuckle. I like my 3800. as far as the concept goes, it DOES only come with the 2.8 diesel. not a good option for the size IMO
  18. oooh pertty
  19. lol, yeah but at least the xj had room for improvement without completely f*ing with the rig's structural integrity. also xj's and MJ's have room for affordable lifts...commanders don't
  20. the corporation knows how to make a truck i doubt they'd use a 2.8v6 in a fullsize. anything they make has to compete with the other brands and it can't do that if its underpowered first, the gladiator concept is powered by a 2.8 diesel. B, chrysler no longer owns jeep, so no offense, but none of us really knows what they know. and 3, take a look at fullsize frames...yeah, kinda doesn't instill confidence in your heart does it? yay rusting out and twisting more than your suspension can flex! I'm also anti-glass top.
  21. yea but it would need the terms SOLID AXLE, CAPABLE MACHINE, and 4X4 included. which to tell you...the compass is NOT
  22. no offense but the swb dodge's pretty much reached the realm of ghey the second they were devised.
  23. *Raises hand* Joe, sorry to say, but regarding you... :agree: haha dude your awesome tho...
