D35. Has had 2 replacemnts since I've had the truck. Besdies, there is 240,000 + miles on the truck with plenty of body rot and the frame is getting questionable rust wise in the rear. The '90 is definitely a far better truck requiring far less work. Besides, I just may put it in the shed and when I find time, drop a 302/auto with a 9" in the rear and make a nice little rat truck.

Won't be a problem as we have a set of taller tires we can use.

Thanks! I knew it was a 2.5. Don't have a clue why I wrote 2.8. Both trucks are 2WD. I would have just gotten rid of the '88 but my son is a bit sentimental about it. Since he was 13 he had driven it almost every day to go fishing at the river about 2 miles from our house. He is now nearly 19 and was really wanting to keep the old truck as a second vehicle but when the rear end went, we thought it was time to put it down. Found the '90 at the last minute for the right price. He likes the '90 as it is nearly rust free which is quite a find here in east central Illinois. He wants to keep it 2WD so that it will stay.

I have an '88 2WD, 4.0 w/stick. Needed a rear and bought a '90 2WD, 2.8 with bad automatic. After getting the '90 home we decided it was definitely in better shape than our '88. Planning on swapping out the 4.0 and stick and putting it into the '90. I am assuming this is pretty much a straight across swap. Anything to look out for? Thanks! Cozee

Well, as usual, I am the odd man out. I have had Wild Blue for well over a year now and have not had one problem with the service or equipment. Typical weather issues as with any other satellite service but then I probably shouldn't be on the computer then any way!!

Seems he was looking for a fight. As a veteran, I can fully understand the motivation behind what the guy did. But, as a veteran, I am totally taken back by the way the concerned vet treated our flag. Like it was an old shirt he just took back from a peeved girl friend or something. I could understand it if conditions warranted a quick "snatch and go" but he stood there in front of the camera spewing his manifesto all the while wringing the flag up into a wad. No thought whatsoever of even attempting to fold it, let alone folding it correctly. Sorry, but that action in it's own right is also disrespectful to the R-W-B!! And this ol' Jarhead, after having watched him try more than once to cut the flag free, found it quite obvious it was an Army knife, he didn't need to ad insult to injury and tell us so!!!!! Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaha!!!

The Constitutional Party, which I proudly support, doesn't elect it's candidate until next spring. However, if the GOP decides to back Congressman Paul, the party delegates may decide to forgo a candidate and throw the party's support behind Ron Paul, aka "Dr. No" I love this country :USAflag:, so in any case, I will in no way vote for any candidate that supports the expansion of NAFTA and the eventual creation of the NAU which is already in the works.

Most all stock air cleaners are designed to allow just enough air flow. Changing over to an after market unit such as a K&N yields more airflow, hence better performance and mileage.

I thought I had seen a while back a picture of an MJ with white faced gauges but don't recall where I seen it. Am I imaging this or was there actually a year/model with such? If so, I'd like to find a set for my '88.
