    Booya.

keep tellin us that...it just reinforces our position :D
  2. gotta be a chop. notice the lack of door gap behind the door on the lower section, and the 2500 trim doesn't extend beyond the fender well, then there's some slight rubbing at the bend in the snorkel that suggests blending

    Booya.

I never made jokes about your dollar der eh? just dat dere stupid kunadine askent and der fakt dat yer basikleee FRENCH! haha. seriously though...neet
  4. why on EARTH would you do that and still KEEP the 2.8 v6?!?!?!??!?! what a douche... got skills on the build, but no knowledge of engine performance whatsoever...and I bet the top leaks like a siv.
  5. wicked....wicked...WICKED i want one!
  6. yea, not when the rings are bad. they still expand, but they leave gaps all over the place. ..and eventually score the piss outta the cylinder if you let them.
  7. that's extremely impressive. is the front a bit lower than the back though?
  8. sorry, I meant to say intake valve but really either...if it somehow got up in the valve cover, it would fill the crank case. anywho, I really do hope you don't drive it. I don't wanna see you 'splode any time soon
  9. when I do headliners, or I should say, when my dad and I do them, we lay out the original backing, and soak the crap outta it with fiberglass resin, then it's actually best to put some fiberglass fabric down all the way around it. the reason for this is that your headliner is falling apart is typically because of ONE thing...and it's not bad glue. the headliner backing is a layered material and all the layers fall off....when they pull apart, then they sag. with a solid backing you're prolonging the life of your manche headliner. I've even thought of using cardboard...but it just wouldn't have the right contour.
  10. don't brag old man.... I may have to give you a different comanche soon so I can get that there diesel off your hands. :P anywho, I like the conceptual idea, but it really has no application in warfare. there's no way I'd go to war with no top/soft top and little armour...
  11. too much fuel would mean it's pushing fuel into the exhaust valves, or too much fuel could also cause more blowby past the rings if the rings are already somewhat bad. too much fuel kinda f*ks things up. it makes sense, trust me.
  12. uh...fx... the o2 sensor helps input CONTROLS to the fuel system. if it is reading WRONG then you better believe that he's running rich. re-read the previous statement to yours, it should make sense because he is 100% spot on right.
  13. I just $#!& a giggle brick
  14. ...this is a t-case not an axle. what happens is on dry pavement, there is no slip for the tires. the np231 is not a full time case, it's only part time. so it is designed to have some slip. no slip between the front and rear axle, the stress point between them is what brakes...and that point is the t-case. if you're hauling with it, in 4wd, on dry pavement, it may not blow because that extra weight would potentially make at least one tire slip a bit. but there is no reason for 4wd on dry pavement.
  15. good idea. but remember, you're running a time bomb there...gas plus oil plus heat plus friction plus compression....you add more air in there, and you've got one hell of a bonfire. so as eagle has stated, it is NOT safe to drive
  16. lower speed is why it doesn't explode then.
  17. the chain is 100% intact and doesn't even look stretched... it seems like the seal was leaking...probably had no fluid in it.
  18. tranny lockup switch I think...
  19. flat towing you say? so was the t-case in your situation in neutral and accidently slipped to 4wd? or was it in 4wd and the tranny accidently slipped into park/another gear? if it's the latter, the tranny may very well be f*d...it could have locked itself up too.
  20. what could cause this? 4wd on highway? no lube? bad/bent 4wd linkage causing it to be semi-in gear? this happened to my buddy's (now mine) 95 xj the night before he left for his 15 months tour of the sandbox with his primo-marine pals. something tells me it's bad karma, but I sure hope not.
  21. hohohoholy cow.... this isn't where I parked my car... hahaha. wow. this is what the t-case on the jeep I'm trading looks like. so. ideas on what caused that? I think he was in 4wd at highway speeds, but I also think that it lost fluid too for some reason or another. also here's more pics of the 86. rims that will be on it
  22. that is for the proportioning valve (the first one with the circle.). note that it is connected (or was) to your brake lines. when the truck's loaded (if it's working right), the connector there would adjust the valve and send more fluid to the rear brakes, and vice-versa for unloaded. most of us just put an xj prop. valve in...it's right under the brake booster/brake master cylinder, and seems to work better
  23. mmm.... well I picked it up, but it looks as if I will be fixing it for the guy??? we worked it out so that the trade would benefit both of us, and if for some reason the trade fell through, we'd still get it fixed up and stuff. aaaand the trade will fall through because my buddy, who is leaving for the marines in 9 hours, drove his xj 2.5 hours away with a bad tranny cooler line. yeah, not a good idea. tranny blew 1 hour and 20 minutes away, and I can't go help him out as much as I wish I could. such is life, but hopefully his roommate is getting his cousin's car hauler to drive down there and nab it back...otherwise the truck will prolly be impounded then junked or w/e :(. on a brite note, after hooking up the 2.5 xj to power from the 3800, I find that all windows work, locks work, lights work, and not sure about gauges (no sending unites + no engine means no gauges...). I'll get it fixed in the next few weeks.
  24. Get me some details. It will probably help me decide. :brows: it's stewartmj here on the club...go ahead and pm him. I sold him my 88 4.0 and he wants a new bed
  25. TNT, if you decide to truggy it I know a local who would probably be interested in the bed...
