  1. 8 holes to install. the one beaterjeep has is Lund I believe.
  2. we need development lol. nah, we HAD cows...steers actually...they didn't do much surprisingly. the goats in one pasture do help, but not much. the cub cadet low-boy turf tractor does a good job though.
  3. oho you are a man after my heart (in a completely hetero way) dude, black and white combo. sweet. love the tires and rims man.
  4. i'm with correy on that one. and guys, don't complain. it still takes me longer to mow my lawn on a 52" riding mower than it does for you to do it with a push mower, and then i still have to push mow around trees and such. gah stupid 12 acres of grass.
  5. ...it makes me sad that i have such a high turnover rate on my comanches. i guess that comes with my age, and the fact that i don't pay the bills on our property....
  6. haha. never thought i was....never got a complete jeep for 50 bucks either. i either got 'em for free, or $70 to $500. :D picking one up this weekend (i hope) for $250 and all it is is a parts rig...i'm learning to spend money when i need something. and i need the 4.10 gears that are up front on it..
  7. haha. i had a cop try and write me a ticket for a burnt out reverse light once. i just flipped on my rear fog and said "factory improvement"...he laughed and let me go. it's nuts what cops THINK they have a right to do...one burnt out reverse light (which i actually just picked up the bulb for), and i guess you're done for.
  8. thanks adam. i almost thought home-made myself, but they just remind me of something i've definitely seen before...i'm leaning towards a kit from the early days of xj lifting
  9. alright, got a few pics Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found anyone have any idea what brand those control arms are? and perhaps what lift exactly they are for? the borla header will be for sale...make me a decent offer.
  10. good, MJ bad, slow good, body looks nice bad, 2wd good, it's an mj (i know i said it but i'd like to reiterate) bad, 4 speed and 3.55 gears seriously, it looks pretty clean. the interior seems to be a pretty common color so parts for that are easy to come by. 4 cylinders are slow, plus 4 speed = 3.55 gears so that's none too fast, BUT you get around 19mpg on average when it's tuned up (my average is when i'm into the throttle ALOT) a 5 speed would be better, cause it's 4.10 gears. but, not necessary. parts are easy to come by, maintenance is easy, it's economical and reliable. i say, do it. look first, haggle, and do it
  11. true enough. it's in great shape...i don't think it was used very long. unfortunatly, i didn't get the crossover pipe with it as they'd run that over with a fork truck. the control arms i got, however, need new heim joints very badly.
  12. how much is a borla header for a renix 4.0 worth? just picked that, and a front dana 30 3.55 geared with 4" lift adjustable trackbar, and LCA's for a wisconsin deal :brows: :D anyone know what brand the control arms are? see pics below.
  13. can't remember the rear wiper? :P the one with pink wiresis for the factory cargo light. the one with green is for the factory fog lights. the cargo one is already wired, you're just missing the switch, a bulb for the indicator (the other little sockets in there), and the cargo light itself. the fog light...i'm not sure how far that runs. but if you put a factory switch in and flip the switch, it will light up. I believe it only extends so far as the firewall as the factory fogs had a seperate, relayed harness after that.

    who hates...

:D i actually don't mind these kinds of small projects really. the kicker for me is i decided to sell the cherokee next day...took all of 3 hours, and the work I did made it worth that much. now, i have a small amount of money for yet another project...
  15. fog and dome light connectors most likely that's what the switchplugs into if you have one.
  16. This clarifies! And Ill just remove the one that is there now before adding the diffuser? Thanks man. exactly.
  17. it's the piece that that long tube connects to. two screws on front of it take it out. get one, then block off the part for the rear tube. it'll push more heat out the sides then.
  18. badlands we're talking about is in attica, indiana 3968 N Xavier Rd Attica, IN 47918 (765) 762-2981 i believe that that is correct.
  19. haha. i'm hoping to have my "camper" built by then too...going to use the top of my 2 door cherokee + the shortbed/swb frame i've got, and build a popup trailer. gotta figure out the sides though.
  20. wow. you're kidding right? lol...glad my dad's a mechanic...
  21. i've just had the best day of my life...
  22. haha i'll have my dent fixed by then. but...i'm not paying for a paint job ever again. so, i'll spray it myself...and if it gets scratched, i'll just buff it. pssh. when there's not much invested in something it's easier to have fun.
  23. GAH u are not allowed to break anything. it'll be freshly rebuilt with a 4.0 conversion, and have alot of time into it. plus it needs to make it home. AHH lol hopefully i won't pick up any dents/ or heavy damage. of course, i'll be sporting 6.5" lift, 4.10s with dana 44, and hopefully rock rails by then. oh, my trailer will be done by then too...so i should have a "camper" :D
  24. no, but there is this... :thwak: :thwak:
  25. if it's out, replace the rear main. murphy's law will kick your butt if ya don't do it, and find out it leaks in 2,000 miles... it's cheap-ish too. totally worth doing it now.
