That, or one damn near identical used to be down one town over from me.

Anyone ever done it? Buddy of mine has an 00 that dropped several valve seats and threw a rod in one go. Can buy a 120k mile 01 zetec parts car for $400, or just a zetec motor for $350 from a yard, or a used, prone to failure SOHC used longblock with unknown miles for $850 My understanding is that I will need to swap the ac pump, condenser, half shafts, passenger engine mount, some accessories, ECM, engine harness with fuel pump pigtail, and fuel pump. This is a small ordeal to swap, just want to know if anyone has first hand experience. I'm swapping the motor and trans so it is out of the shop quicker...we can do all the prep work on the parts before the car ever comes in, which will just make it easier to deal with.

You can have my commanche TW. It's a deal.

A p r I l f o o l s j o k e on the site changes the designation. And consider me entered. My sister is a mule, and taken, but from what I understand, you could use another @$$ around to keep yours company lol. Meant literally, not an implication of you yourself lol

Like has.been said, custom order options. And bo, I love your.trucks
-
Oddly I would say that everyone invariably associated the chief trim package as having d44 and offroad package. I can verify by ownership that neither was an option of that trim level, but an add on.
-
I would add, my 87. Came to me as factory swb metric ton d44 2x4 without a class 3 hitch. It was all original to the truck, which had no power, no ac, bench, was shift on the column with the 3/4 cluster. Yet more proof of custom orders.
-
I built and sold a lwb 91 pioneer mt with d44, base model interior without even tilt. The trim package has NOTHING to do with what is going to be on the vehicle mechanically. Prove to me that you couldn't order a 44 on a 92-92 elim, and we can talk. But as Rob just proved in huge post above, it was an option on the build sheet. You are arguing about a box missing a check mark on a piece of paper. Chrysler didn't have good enough control of jeep within 3 years of ownership to stop the custom orders coming in.

I just hump them into place every time. More upset that unless you have the angle of vehicle just right, you have to actually add trans fluid when swapping them...

That truck in il is cherry. Very nice shape. It's under 1000 in parts for 4x4 swap

Short answer, no. Long answer, it isn't a fair market so that is actually reasonable. You don't find the deals when you are actually looking.

There is a small bolt in the center from the engine bay holding the wires into the fuse block. 1/4" drive ratchet, extension, and depending on condition of corrosion, the head will be anywhere from 5.5mm to 7mm. May even measure out standard, so take your time.

On the original post, you need to lost the Sally font you used for "the toughest four letter word on wheels" and use something less...cursive. A plain jane manly font.
-
I will see, but it will end up with a dimensional weight of over 80lbs, and cost close to $80 to ship, if not more.
-
They are still aftermarket. It's a base model MJ grafted to an aftermarket chassis. And desire ability is not really there. While the argument has merit, I think we need to be making the standard, "what is the rarest, off the line, production MJ?"
-
Rubber, and I cannot recall but they are either chrysler or AMC matts. They are for the MJ.
-
I have 3, but they are too heavy and bulky to ship
-
Put cherokee shackles in rear, add second factory upper coil rubber isolator to each side, call it a day. That will leave a close to level rake, and not require any more parts.
-
That picture is terrible. What a terrible camera you have taken a picture of
-
Side note, I've owned 29 MJ's...never have I had factory power locks, mirrors, or windows. To me, that speaks of the rarity of them...and I'm fairly near a production plant from that time period.
-
Sport truck was 87-90, sport only was 91-92 correct? Not that there is much difference.
-
The wires you will not use are going to be painfully obvious. They are for two green sensors that you can simply ignore.
-
Robs MJ has power windows, locks, cruise, is diesel, 4.10 gears. Only thing that would add rarity is amc20 rear end. Finding any MJ of that vintage with power windows and. Locks is hard.
