  1. I cleaned up the new shafts free of any small burrs around where they ride in the seals, and filled the diff to spec, drove around for awhile then topped off the diff after the "extra" fluid had made it into the Right side axle tube, the only difference between running the exterior seals is that the axle shaft on that side is completly submerged in fluid, the tubes were cleaned out (I'm not mudbogger so that wasnt a bad deal) and Ive put over 300 miles on the truck since the install and Ive lost no fluid, those seals will hold just fine as long as you keep after em and grease them periodicly. Sure beats having to tear the internals back outta the front Diff. :wrench:
  2. Well Ive decided to take a less drastic approach to my hood build but when its finished itll still be an eye catcher just like my 1st 1 was :D Got started laying out my markings for my vents tonight. This is what I looking for when the vents are said and done Then will come paint and another nice Hood Logo :wrench: stay tuned! ;)
  3. It happens ;) Glad it was a simple fix
  4. Ive been iffy about them, Ive been running standard Purolators for awhile now and with Purolator making "Pro Motive" filters as a "cheap" commercial option I was kinda wondering if the Driveworks were maybe manufactured by someone else to compete @ the bottom :dunno:
  5. Awesome.....i wonder if ive ever run into any of em, I'm gettin known for my Comanches (and Jeeps in General) around here  :D
  6. Sounds like a bad starter itself :dunno:
  7. Picked up these classic baby's from work..... Packaged in 1992 and been sitting since in a warehouse, Thats a historic dust layer :D We'll get em installed sometime soon
  8. Not really "tech" so I threw it in here, anyway I was just wondering what the switch panel looked like inside an MJ with factory fog lights and overhead rollbar lights. I don't think Ive ever seen inside 1 of them... Just outta random cureosity ;)
  9. On my 96 XJ it is behind the front bumper, I would imangine it was the same on the Renix era setups as well.
  10. I'm going to be putting a set of these on my XJ in the next month or so and figured id check on here if anyone has any deals waiting for me out there. Thanks for any info! :wrench:
  11. oops  lol.... Any auto parts retailer should have 1 or be able to get 1 rather easly
  12. For a decent and complete 3" kit youll need the following... Springs AAL + Shackles/ or new packs LCAs New Trackbar or drop bracket 95 Dakota rear brake line New swaybar links or disconnects You can get most all of that from Hell Creek
  13. You know the 4.0 takes 6qts of oil right? :hmm: :smart:
  14. My life would have an empty spot in it if it wasnt for the Comanche Club! Thank you Pete for everything youve created and supplying the cards to hand out! You truck is a work of art and deserves to be in the spotlight as long as it wants to :wrench:
  15. I'm about 20 mins from I-76 (PA turnpike) milepost 203...... just incase

  18. Bracket has been aquired.....Still looking for a fan shroud :wrench:
  19. Well I'm slowing down with tossing "small" things @ this truck and just enjoying it for alittle. I do have plans to replace the very tired clutch packs in the rear 44 which should hold me over for a good while with 31s. Besides getting to my hood sometime this fella is doing very well and I have no major changes lined up for him in the near future.
  20. $3.65-$3.69 around here for 87
  21. Very unlikley but mine had those same symptoms before the ECU went and left me stranded.... It just shut off while idling 1 night and wouldnt restart, a new PCM and many hours of diag. later it was running like new again. As mentioned likely not your issue since mine was an Auto but ya never know :dunno:
  22. Awesome man! don't feel bad, youll fit right in here :wrench:
  23. Ha Ha....i did crawl over a few things but nothing crazy, I love having those options there though for when the time comes :D
  24. I installed a set of Precision Injectors in summer 2008, maybe the newer design of those over the OEM could possibly cause that.......its definently heat soak related, becuase I can let the truck idle/run all day long in the heat with both fans running and it never skips a beat......its only after its been shut off for a few mins...
