  1. Obviously you did something wrong :???: Pictures help ALOT with these kinda problems...
  2. Well i did see this beauty today. :D I also saw a very clean silver SWB coming into town, looked like College students so ill do my best to catch up with them!
  3. so when you move the interior controls to A/C nothing kicks on correct? and the fan also does not kick on with the engine tempreture?
  4. Felt it here...I was @ home over lunch and sittin here in the computer chair, a few things rattle on the shelves behind me but it wasnt anything serious, kinda cool though ;)
  5. Would have loved to, but the moment just passed right by without me having any time to react :(
  6. Theyre not on the hood.....there is 1 of those vents on every YJ centered right in front of the windsheild. I just got 2 of them. seen directly in front of the windsheild, before the hood line.
  7. Theyre just 2 OEM cowl vents off of an 87-95 YJ Wrangler ;)
  8. Does the truck start? If so use the old Socket on 1 of the hub bolts and use the power steering pressure to knock the hub loose from the knuckle....even with the caliper still bolted on you should still be able 2 kick the knuckle free. :dunno:
  9. Got my "revamped" Hood mounted :D Should help with trail temps.
  10. Summit sells a couple various style of those indicators, ranging from $20ish up to like $100+ or so. Ive used 2 of them so far on auto MJs with good results :wrench: http://www.summitracing.com/search/Part ... Rank%7cAsc
  11. Awesome! :wrench: I want the SWB Rollbar :D :rotfl2: j/k i know you have plans for it
  12. Got the vents in and Hood installed! Didnt turn out 2 bad for a spray job in the garage, and plus its functional which is what it was all about in the 1st place! :D Ill be getting another "jeep" logo done like my other hood for it as well. Next up is changine the fuel sender O ring :ack: and then getting my Limited slip clutch packs rebuilt in my D44 ;)
  13. With OEM Alloy rims i still got some minor LCA rubbing @ full lock with 30x9.50s
  14. I was out running a few aarons this morning when all the sudden i passed what seemd to be a Custom painted "Golden Eagle" theme Comanche Cheif!....I did my best to whip a U-turn and go after it, I mean sparkling paint, SWB factory style "Cheif" graphics on the lower doors, Gorgeous! It managed to evade me and I lost him at a turn somewhere :wall: I REALLY wanted to meet and talk to this guy, my fiance who was with me of course thought i was crazy, but I confermed with her that it was real and I wasnt just seeing things  , I hope I see it again sometime and can try and introduce him to this site, but for now Hes out there driving that beauty under sunny skies
  15. Got some paint sprayed on it tonight. Looks dark in the picture but the color isnt 2 far off, plus with my edges done up itll seperate nicely. Some clear for it tomorrow and I may even have this thing installed this weekend :D
  16. i was always told XJ sliders do NOT work on the MJ, I picked mine up from Rocky Road Outfitters, Motion offroad also sells sliders as well. if youve wheeled your truck at all though plan on getting the sliders welded on due to Unibody tweeking over time ;)
  17. Where i placed them some water entering the engine bay shouldnt hit anything important in the way of electronics. Ill recheck them once everythings installed on the truck but the TB electronics was 1 reason for having them up further towards the top ;)
  18. the oil pressure on my swapped Renix cluster reads high as well, i think thats just 1 of those calibration things that varies between clusters.....its works though otherwise and since mines a Canadian cluster Idk if that had anything to do with it or not. Id replace the coolant sensor again and call it good on the gauges
  19. got er all primed up this evening :D :wrench:
  20. I remember that place, I Lived in Mooresville for just over a year attending NTI ;)
  21. no turning back now ;) Vents set in place :D all Sanded down, ready for paint! :wrench:
  22. I cleaned up the new shafts free of any small burrs around where they ride in the seals, and filled the diff to spec, drove around for awhile then topped off the diff after the "extra" fluid had made it into the Right side axle tube, the only difference between running the exterior seals is that the axle shaft on that side is completly submerged in fluid, the tubes were cleaned out (I'm not mudbogger so that wasnt a bad deal) and Ive put over 300 miles on the truck since the install and Ive lost no fluid, those seals will hold just fine as long as you keep after em and grease them periodicly. Sure beats having to tear the internals back outta the front Diff. :wrench:
  23. Well Ive decided to take a less drastic approach to my hood build but when its finished itll still be an eye catcher just like my 1st 1 was :D Got started laying out my markings for my vents tonight. This is what I looking for when the vents are said and done Then will come paint and another nice Hood Logo :wrench: stay tuned! ;)
  24. It happens ;) Glad it was a simple fix
  25. Ive been iffy about them, Ive been running standard Purolators for awhile now and with Purolator making "Pro Motive" filters as a "cheap" commercial option I was kinda wondering if the Driveworks were maybe manufactured by someone else to compete @ the bottom :dunno:
