I came across this on the innernet.....A group of my friends had to make a commercial for a High School Project and we all filmed this last winter. I though you guys might get a kick out of it. The location is here at my place and my friend in the Electric Blue MJ was the 1st truck ever to make it up the "pit".......I think youll enjoy it :rotf:

Who Knows What This Part Is?

I'm gonna guess part of the metal brake line sat in the groove and that was rested somewhere on the frame or a suspension component... :dunno: -

a 30/9.50/15 Tire on a 15x8 rim?
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hey Guys probably after the new year ill be purchasing a set of 15x8 wheels for my Truck. I plan on mounting my current 30/9.50 tires on them and running them till probably next Winter when theyll probably be used up and replaced with a 31/10.50. Anyway will a 9.50 tire work ok on an 8" wide wheel (id think so). Also would 3.75" backspacing be enough to clear a 31/10.50 tire from the LCAs. Truck is an 88 4x4 with a 1.5" Budget Boost Thanks for any info here's the wheels I'm looking at  Image Not Found -

Cat or No Cat???
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well i went ahead and hollowed the Cat out for now, the honeycomb was all white and about ready to expire anyway, The truck sounds much better and really isnt noticably louder at crusing speeds. Someday i might put an aftermarket Cat on it but for now itll work fine ;) -
Cat or No Cat???
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Alright looks like just hollowing it out (if theres anything left in it) is the logical choice.....ill dig into that later today -
I'm installing a Glasspack tomarrow and am wondering if i should dish out the money for a new Cat or not, I'm in an "visual" insp. county so as long as theres 1 physically there and appearing to be working ill be fine. Basically if theres anything left in mine (OEM) I'm gonna hollow it out, or would anyone advise against that? Will that kill power or anything major? should i just leave it go untouched or should i really look into putting a free flowing or new 1 on it. Truck is an 88 4.0 4x4 Auto, Thanks for any suggestions ;)

Looks Great......would look right at home with a Blue/White Yamaha in the back of it :D -
I live up a 1/4 mile dirt/slate driveway that becomes near impassable for anything other than 4x4s in the winter....Sometimes ill get delivery from Pizza Hut which is only about 5 mins away and if the little rice burrner the kid is driving makes it up he gets atleast 6 bucks. If he has 2 call and have myself and my friends come rescue him well then he only gets like 2-3....lol I'm cruel i guess but its great. I order Pizza almost every weekend and on the normal weekend he usually gets 4-6 dollars tip or i just go pick it up

Truck only Starts in Neutral???
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
So are you saying the logical choice right now is 2 bypass the switch.....atleast till spring when working outside is alittle more favorable? Also does bypassing the switch eliminate use of the reverse lights as well? -
Truck only Starts in Neutral???
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah....i just started the truck up 2 warm it up for the trip 2 work and it fired right up normally again. Its located right on the side of the transmission and isnt hard 2 get 2 (i took a peak), looks like a project for me to do someday 8) Thanks for the help -
Truck only Starts in Neutral???
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
where excatly is it located and how tuff of a job would it be 2 swap it out... Its just wild how within an hour period of sitting it just failed all the sudden b/c it started right up this morning.....O Well I'm sure it can be fixed  I found this link and it seems like rebuilding the switch is my best bet :smart: http://jp.automotive.com/93239/154-0805 ... index.html -
I went out this morning and started my truck normally and drove it about 100yrds to my lower Garage. After sitting for about an hour i went out to come back to the house and the truck wouldent start......no clicking, nothing but the blower fan was running so i knew i had power. After fooling with some connectors i decided to shift it to neutral and it fired right up. Now i can only get it to fire when its shifted to neutral from park. Its an 88 4.0 Auto 4x4, i suspect some type of NSS but figured it would be easyest to ask here 1st. Thanks for any help :dunno:
