Alright well ive been messing with the tire calculaters everyones been posting and thought to myself by this time next near ill most likely have a set of 31" tires on my truck. I have 30s now and am wondering about updating the speedo gear for accurate readings. Whats all involved with the swap and where can they be found. I figured if i put 1 in for the correct 31" tires now with my 30x9.50s installed itll be much closer than with the OEM 1.
Any advice on this? Thanks
Well over the Holidays the Comanche got a few gifts from myself and a new CB from my parents. :D
Most recently installed this morning are a new set of Crager D window 15x8 rims
Also a CB/Pa System and a new CB whip to go along with it, I have 1 more set of lights to be mounted yet than I'm finished with the truck for alittle as attention turns back to the Quads in preperation for 2009!

Hey guys, the last few times i started up my truck it wants to rev really high for minutes on end.....Would this be a sign of a bad IAC? I don't have a tach so i can't give ya an accurate RPM measurment, sorry
88 4.0 AW4
Thanks for any info
New Aux. Lights and a CB for the Truck
ATV Video
2 CDs
Power Scrubber for wheels/ect...
a Walmart GC and about $50
My Family all pitched in and bought a Nintendo WII.......it hasnt been turned off since installation this morning :clapping:
I'm usually not a fan of bigger size wheels and chrome but i can't say anything bad about this truck.......i think it looks good, the chrome and the white just set it off....good job man
I do have a current PA Insp. License and I can't recall anything about wheel spacers. Either way I'm not really a fan of them either but it was just another option i threw out there. My friend installed 3.5" backspaced rims with 33/12.50 tires on his YJ last night and they stick out 2+" past the flares and do contact points on the body so I'm defently not looking into doing that.
I installed a Motion Offroad Budget boost back in June.....Fairly simple and nothing your and your friends can't complete in an afternoon. I don't do much "wheeling" so 2 speak but for the occasional offroad trek itll work great and On road handling isnt sacrificed 1 bit
I never thought about Clearence issues outside the "pocket"......I think my best bet for now is to find a decent set of OEM Jeep rims and look into the WJ LCA Mod.....Thanks for the Info, also are all 5-4.5 Jeep Rims the same backspacing?
lol alright well id be glad to see that picture.......Its all in the fun of having Jeeps you think up a wild plan than ya change it every week.....Its all good :hmm: :D
I have thought about swapping out the LCAs for WJ 1s but i also have plans for some Bushwacker Flares in the future as well....that was the 2nd reason for getting a lower backspaced wheel considering the OEM rims place the tires alittle far inward and putting on bigger flares would look goofy......sorry for so many equations here  ....I do enjoy talking about everything though
