My rinky-dink operation brought back a long sought after item, the factory style hitch.I'd probably have already built you a bumper and you'd had time to pull trailers and recover other non-jeep vehicles with it... And I had SWB sliders done before they did too... I don't build as much stuff as Nate's does so that's why I have to charge shipping separate... I know my bumper brackets are a lot more sturdy, reliable and better mounted than theirs too. I've had my fun with ordering from Nate's. Never again. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk I honestly think it only took about a week for my Krusty hitch to get to me after ordering. MAYBE 2 weeks. Can't remember exactly. And the sucker is SOLID. The welds are beautiful and as he said, he brought back a long gone item for the trucks we love. If I had went with a "offroad" bumper it would of been Krustys even though Nates is more popular. His looks much more beefy and it's always best to support a fellow Comancheclub member so hopefully his "rinkydink" operation can become a full-on business providing us with MJ specific parts that others have overlooked. Long story short, Krustyballers products are worth it :D

Door window visors
Knucklehead97 replied to Knucklehead97's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sorry it's taken me a little bit to post back, been busy working on my Contour and doing yard work for my ma lately so the Jeep is having to wait more. This is with the clip mounted the other way in the window, the clip is a little blurry cause the sun was shining and I couldn't tell if the phone was focused or not. The "prongs" on the clip don't fit too tightly on the visor when I install them like Hornbrods picture shows. But I think with some work I can make this work great. -

I'm guessing these are Mopar visors then? The clips don't even come close to connecting them as you can slightly see (horrible camera sorry) or do I have them installed wrong? -
this thread is 7 years old, sir :D

Door window visors

the only markings I've found on them is G59-RF and LF which leads me to believe they're from a Cherokee. I PM'd you, though! -
Door window visors

Finally got the visors. They look good, just need paint. No clips though. How do the clips fit on? I'm going to rig them probably once I figure out how the stock clips worked. Theres no markings for manufacturer on them. -

That is good timing. I'll know what brand they are when they come in. They shipped yesterday. I'll figure out some way to mount them :D -
The Green Eliminator is now my new Facebook cover photo. That website is awesome, I love the drawings

Door window visors

thanks! Are these clips still available? The guy I bought them from said no hardware was included so I'm not sure if they have the clips. -
hey I said his was worse! Being on the interstate at interstate speeds probably didn't help him :D I'm wondering how his hood remained mostly undamaged! Looks like just a slight bend

I just scored a set of metal visors for my door windows. I think they're OEM? I paid 20 shipped for them so I think I got a good deal. How rare are they? And how do they mount? I haven't received them. They're shipping tomorrow. Just wanting to get everything together to install when they get here! :D

mystery brake fluid leek.
Knucklehead97 replied to 54bobby's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
peel back the rubber on the cylinders as well. I thought only one of mine were leaking and then I looked behind the rubber on the other one and it was full of fluid. -
I hit a deer going 50 in my Jeep. Not AS bad as yours. But yours is definitely fixable. A good hammer helps with getting the unibody mounts straight to mount the header panel and all!!! 200$ (with new radiator!) And a weekend later and it was back on the road

2 years for a cooling system swap? Been there before. I kept putting it off in my other MJ. Now I can swap the entire cooling system in probably 3 hours flat since I've done it multiple times :D I worry that my hood release cable is going to snap soon. It's iffy sometimes. If it does I plan to go to hood pins.

Anyone ever seen this before?
Knucklehead97 replied to Knucklehead97's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm going to eventually throw one with ring connectors on like you did. This was just a real quick decision since the spade terminals were bent up as well. Chances are the rough idle is mostly my vacuum leaks. I'm getting those fixed and going down the line of sensors and ect. Got my 97+ valve cover installed though! Looks all pretty painted up and I'm excited to see how the blowby reduces :D -
Unhooked the ballast resistor today because I noticed my fuel pump sounding weak and really loud. There was no sign of any ceramics! Ever seen anything like this? Long story short I deleted it. And bought a Bosch 69302 to go in soon since I'm sure the pumps getting old. These Bosch pumps are getting hard to find... I think the resistor being like this might be a cause of a slightly rough idle? That little wire couldn't of been enough to run the pump full power, could it?

Brake pedal after WJ MC/booster swap.
Knucklehead97 replied to Knucklehead97's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The pedal is hard as a rock with the engine off. This is sitting and idling with engine running. It gets firmer when going down the road and stopping. -
Howdy fella's. I've been messing with my brakes for the past 3 months since a caliper locked up. The caliper locking up turned into new calipers and soft lines up front, which then turned into installing a WJ MC/BB set up from a junkyard, which turned into me buying a new MC/BB, which turned into replacing the shoes and cylinders in the rear drums. So through all of this I have pumped probably 2 gallons of new brake fluid through the system with my Mityvac pump. The pedal still seems soft, to me. I can't tell if it's all in my head and I'm just not used to the power of the double diaphragm booster or what. I drove the Jeep up the road today and the truck stops great. I can lock the tires up no problem in gravel (no wet roads today). The pedal just seems really easy to push and it kinda had me worried. How does everyone elses brake pedals feel after the swap?

this is more so my problem as well. Something I've learned is that you can never have too many cars there. There was a point in time where my 3 brothers and I all shared one little Nissan Sentra due to us all having car troubles. Now we all have running driving vehicles. I have 2 and want more! One breaks down and I drive the other till I get around to fixing it.Exactly. I've never not been able to get to work or where I need to be. Guys at work talk trash to me for driving old stuff. Say I'm cheap and all that. I told them that it has nothing to do with being cheap, it's what I like. I bet I could make a small truck payment on what I spend monthly on my vehicles. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk guys at my work do the same. Most of them have 200$+ a month payments plus full coverage insurance and it makes them able to afford NOTHING extra. I put that money towards modifications! :D

Military Wrapped Springs With Lift, Group Buy
Knucklehead97 replied to Biotex's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I believe all of the group buy spots have already been filled sir. But they are still available for 200 a spring!Alright, I wasn't sure. The $200 per side is still a smoking deal compared to the other options out there, and all I am looking for is a ~3" lift. Thanks. it is still a very nice price considering the price of Hell Creeks metric ton springs. And the quality of these are worth every penny! -
