  1. You can choose which pattern. Either white or amber.
  2. I found a dual color white/amber 22" light bar on eBay and it had really good reviews. I shot them a low ball offer of $25 and they came back at $37. I figured what the hell. It was the simplest install I have ever done. I picked up the mounting brackets on Amazon for $10 shipped. I had to remove 2 bolts on each tow hook, slide the bracket in, put the LED bar in place and the tighten the tow hook bolts down. The wiring was stupid simple. I had to crimp three spade terminals on the light and then connect the hot and ground wires to the battery. That's it! The light is remote controlled and came with a little remote. For less than $50 I'm impressed. I like having the option of a driving/work light and also having the amber for fog and reduced visibility. Oh, did I mention it also has a strobe function? That will come in handy when I need to back the trailer into my driveway and need to let other drivers know I'm blocking their lane.
  3. Right click, open with Word
  4. This is how you put an 87+ hood on a 86
  5. The latches are different. 87+ is on the corners, cut into the front of the hood. 86- latch is in the center. It is not worth the work to modify the hoods.
  6. You can put a 87+ hood on a 84-86 easily. You can NOT use a 84-86 hood easily on a 87+. All hoods from 1987 and newer will bolt on a 1987 and newer truck. This is fact because I have done it, owned both trucks and tried it.
  7. It can't be modified. Totally different Edit: it can be but why would you? It is a $#!& ton of work and you better be a master bodyman.
  8. Congrats Zach! Life has a way of just working out. Many times in the last year or so I have looked back, smiled and thought to myself... Everything happens for a reason.
  9. Same truck from the doors forward. Kinda like a Cherokee and a Comanche.
  10. A couple more "mods" down. Today I added my vent shades and a 5" tip. Neither were needed but I like the way they look.
  11. Dodge Durangos use that filler
  12. I don't mess with anything smaller than 10s when it comes to subs. You can get better sound out of a pair of 6x9s than a 8" sub.
  13. The tires are 235/80r17s, roughly a 32" tall tire. They run skinny to keep the rear tires from rubbing together. I am debating stepping up to a 34" tire to offset the 4:10 gear ratio. I am just not sold on running spacers to keep them separated.
  14. It is an SSL LoPro10. It has an integrated 1200 watt amp and a remote gain knob. It sounds decent and is getting better as it get broken in. You won't disturb the neighborhood but it fills the void of base in the cab. I am running a Pioneer AVH-2300NEX head unit. My amp leads and RCAs are from KnuKoncepts. I personally think their wiring is some of the best money can buy. For $123 shipped it is worth the money to have a compact amp/sup that can easily be hidden.
  15. It's not a split year. It's just titled wrong. Don't go to the parts store to look for parts for an 86 as most engine, trans and wiring parts are not compatible with your truck.
  16. Nice truck but it is not an 86. Not unless you shortened to frame and put the short bed on it and swapped in the 4.0L engine and harness.
  17. Walmart sells boxes too
  18. Make them. Go to Home Depot and buy some boxes. Cut them up and tape them back together. I do it all the time.
  19. And then modify the seat back to hold some rods. Lift the seat bottom to a 45* angle and tug the back slightly and you have access to your rods and room for other goodies.
  20. The first order of business was to get on sun protection and privacy. Much better! The dealer just tossed their mud flaps on the back and they were crooked as all get out. Not really a mod nut they are even now. This is my favorite mod so far. I removed the rear seat and cut this little tab off the locking bar. This allows me to keep a stock looking seat. But gave me room to put a little sub behind the seat.
  21. https://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/product/jeep-amc-tbi-complete-system/ Look into them. I prefer the AFI setup over the Howell. It just works better. I have ran both and will never go back to the Howell setup.
  22. That's momma's truck. You'll have to fight her for that!
  23. The new truck doesn't have a bed liner. Me being the chick that I am and not wanting to scratch the bed I needed a work truck. I shipped the MJ back to Georgia so that left only one option. I used the old man to clean up the yard. Right now it is in a holding pattern until we move back to Georgia and get settled. I don't want to put new tires on it to just sit and rot.
