  1. Guess where Onyx is going after it is done...
  2. I'll take it. Get me the total shipped to 30102 and I will paypal ya for it.
  3. Camanche pop up trailer.
  4. Nope, it is a stock 97+ passenger side dash end. All part of my extra dash.
  5. Cool project MGySgt. Semper FI
  6. I am going from 2WD to 4WD but I am doing a complete 97+ conversion on my 89. Click the link in the sig.
  7. That oil filter is for a 2.2/2.5 Dodge motor. There is a smaller one than that too. It was only used on the 86-87 Shelby GLHS and is hard to find. The only place I have been able to get them from is the dealer.
  8. It looks a little better in person. But I don't like it. I only bought one can of each for testing purposes. This is not the dash in the before pics. I have an extra one. This is my test bunny dash. I am going to try to use a couple different colors later this week. I am going with a tri-color theme like my WJ has. It is taupe (not that color taupe either) med. taupe, and lt. taupe. Once I spray then I will take more pics for observation. And for those that asked why I did not recover my seats. My answer is, Have you priced a complete seat recover for a pair of seats plus the head rests?
  9. I have been playing around with some SEM in a few different colors. I painted the upper dash taupe and the lower portions ladera. Not a perfect match but really close. Here is the slight difference between the two colors. The console is ladera and the seats are Chrysler taupe. Just a few touches to make it unique. BEFORE AND AFTER SHOT BEFORE AFTER Likes/dislikes?
  10. Nice score on the red one... Dana 44 and all!
  11. Thanks fellas. I am doing better with it. I knew it had to be done to make her stop hurting. My wife is taking it pretty hard but she will be ok in a few days. I think the hardest part was the kids. Dakota (10) grew up with her. They were pretty close. He showed what kind of man he was going to be Wednesday night. He sat down with my wife and explained to her that it needed to be done and it was for the better. I was so proud to call him my son. What a strong little man. I guess him being the man of the house during all my deployments is coming through. Shelby (4) is a little different. It is a hard thing to explain to someone so young. She is still waiting for her to come home. I just told her she was with Jesus and she is playing in heaven. She then asked if Princess took a plain to Heaven... She is such a sweet little girl. :rotf:
  12. When the door starts to sag it causes the latch to be too low and does not hit the catch on the center. This makes the door not want to shut completely. In turn people slam the doors shut harder to close them.
  13. I had to put my friend of 13 years down today. I got Princess 13 years ago for my wife as a anniversary gift. She has been with us through 5 cross country moves within that time. She was supposed to be my wife's cat but she never left my side and slept on my pillow every night. Late last year she came down with kidney disease. The vet figured she only had a month max to live. The old girl refused to stop fighting and made it another 6 months. She sure was a fighter! It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. But, at least now I know the pain is gone. Rest in peace baby, I will miss you...
  14. Is that a arrow on the wheel pointing to the valve stem? Those could be dirt track wheels. Either Areo or Bassett's. If they are, they are designed to have weak hub centers for racing on dirt tracks. They supposed bend or break at the center before causing major damage to the front spindles or rear axles. I do not want to argue either, but I have never seen a wheel break a center out like that from an accident. I have seen it a lot at dirt track races though using Areo or Bassett wheels. I was going to use a set of Bassett's on my Jeep until my uncle reminded me about the hub centers bending on a hard hit. BTW, not only is the tierod bent but the axle is bent too! I guess the TB caused that too? But, I am done with this one. It will never be known what happened to cause that wreck. Sorry Lead, I am not taking it out on you.
  15. I am in no way defending Rusty's or ANY of his crappy products. I was a victim of his bad service and junk parts. I bought a 4.5" WJ lift that caused DW and bad vibes from the day it was put on. It turned out to be a bad track bar and wrong UCAs causing my vibes. It took forever to get the UCAs replaced and he never would replace the TB. I took the lift off and traded it to a guy for a 94 XJ. Live and learn I guess. That mistake cost me over $1000. The kit cost $1500 shipped. The guy wanted $500 for the XJ. I tried to sell the lift for $300 and nobody woul touch it. Lead, I read the rant about that LJ snapping a TB and rolling over. I also asked why the front wheel broke the center out of it. The wheel center and the lug nuts are still attached to the rotor. The TB shows a fresh clean break. If it was already cracked it would have a lot more rust on the breakage area. I still think the wheel failed first, shot the driver into the bank, snapping the TB, and rolling the Jeep. Again, I hate Rusty's and will never ever buy anything with his name attached to it.
  16. Check out Page 2 of my build thread. I cut a 97+ console in half ahd it left me with only one cup holder. But, that is better than nothing right?
  17. I am almost positive I am staying black, but a nice deep maroon has been calling my name. I have seen a few colors that I like. Inferno Red, Red Fire, Venom Red, the new Vette maroon, and there is a nice maroon out on the Acura too. Black is just so... Black!
  18. SN Mouth-Mangler Real name Horse Hung Harry
  19. Wasn't 86 the only year for the XLS?
  20. Nice starting point. I like the sticker on the back window!
  21. Already on there... GySgt Robert Kennedy
  22. You have to cut the square section out that the stock hinge is welded to. It will leave a 3"x2" (roughly) hole in the "A" piller. Just slide it in from the top until it clears and use your fingers and a magnet to pull it back up to where you need it. It helps to put a few marks on the plate where you think the center of it will be. That way you can line it up to mark the holes you need to tap after you drill the holes in the "A" piller. I just did this Sunday to my truck. It is really easy to do once you get into it. Just reading it can be confusing.
  23. That is my plan too. We'll see if it works out for us.
  24. Hey DJ, Welcome to the Club! See the response above for your answer. Make sure you post pics when you drag that new truck home next week!
