Be careful with this one. While it's a good utility and found 724 issues on my computer, it took out one thing that I needed...my Video Decoder. My TV tuner no longer worked for live TV after using it. I fixed it without any major trouble, but you need to pay attention to the instructions and be prepared to handle what may come up as this type of thing is not for someone that doesn't know what the registry is to start with. I use Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and love it as I am watching the Sunday Night Football game while I am doing this on the same 22" screen :clapping:

Got it and replied...

So we're $20 head to head...

Yeah, but I don't know what the bet is now that I am not employed at the dealership (or anywhere right now) anymore... :dunno:

You may want to check with your local dealership too. There was a recall on the o2 sensors for those and if it has not ever been done on yours, you might get it done for free with the good dealership part instead of the aftermarket stuff.

Injector cleaner in the tank...change plugs... :shake: Now you have wasted at least 15% of the money that could have gone to the new injectors. Check the plugs and if they are bad, change them. Injectors are not expensive and they are the biggest bang for the buck possible. Fuel injector cleaner is a scam and complete waste of money.

I just stuck the probes in the connector beside the wires when I checked mine. It was a little bit of a PITA, but I got it done. No...you can't do away with the TPS unfortunately. Don't have any clue what you are talking about with the plastic thing/gasket :dunno: . I didn't see anything like that on mine when removed.

They're makin' it happen... :D Bring on the Cowboys ...

Maybe a smaller 15 gallon tank from an old CJ would work better with it's square/rectangular shape to fit in the spare tire area.

No...another tune is not likely needed, but check your plugs, cap & rotor for fouling or defect anyway. I still would strong encourage you to replace the fuel injectors though. I am not saying that I believe that they are 100% to blame for your issue, but I can say that they will make a difference in your truck. Mine runs smoother, accelerates better and the MPH went up almost 14%

A complete tune up replacing plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, o2 sensor and replace the fuel injectors too. This is probably the best source for injectors...and he gives us a 10% discount when you use ' JEEP ' in the coupon/discount code at check out. I didn't have any trouble with the pan gasket and used no RTV at all on it, but then I had a lift to use at the dealership where I was working at the time. All good advice has been given already...just one thing to add...be sure you put the rear seal in the correct direction.

Looks like just another Facebook, MySpace etc, etc... No offense to you or those who do it, but I just don't have time for stuff like that ;). I would much rather spend my time on forums like this.

5 weeks in.. What I have learned.. and what I regret.

:agree: I was immediately sucked in to this place when I got here. I did the same...spent a lot of tme reading and researching before I actually started to participate. I was a Wrangler guy and really knew nothing of an MJ when I got it. Glad you are enjoying your Jeep and this site. I don't see anything to dislike about either one  :clapping: -
I saw one down here about a month ago. It was sitting on 38" Swampers and was nicely done from what I could tell seeing it going down the road.

Turns over....won't start, PLEASE help.
BLHTAZ replied to twojeeps's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
There is a port on the fuel rail to test fuel pressure, but obviously you need a guage. You can check for spark by pulling a plug wire off of the distributor cap, put something conductive in it like a screw driver and hold it close to the post on the cap to see if it fires while trying to start the truck. This obviously will require another person to help you. Be careful doing this as the charge can give you quite a jolt if you ground it through your hand of finger ;) . -
Well...I haven't seen any problems occur from spacers personally (only heard stories), but I have worked at two different shops that would not touch a vehicle if the needed repair required removal of a wheel that had a spacer on it because of the liability. I know there are a lot of other shops out there that are the same. That's enough to tell me that they are not a smart thing to do no matter how much you pay or how they are made.

Spacers are NOT a good thing to do. :shake: Either get the LCA's that have been suggested or get some wheels with proper back spacing for those tires.

BLHTAZ replied to twojeeps's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You need to figure out what the source of your problem is...ie; No fire or no fuel... Once you know which it is, then it's much easier for us to guide you to a solution. -
We are at 53 shirts ordered as of this morning There are still about 11 orders placed that are not paid for yet though, so as long as all of them get paid...we are at 53 ;) .

Floating Temp Needle - TStat Change question
BLHTAZ replied to UNL1MTD's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
OK...one other thing that I have seen cause problems is the use of a sealer or sealing tape on the threads of a sender. If you put any kind of sealer or tape on it, clean it off ;) . -
Floating Temp Needle - TStat Change question
BLHTAZ replied to UNL1MTD's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
This may sound like a dumb question, but...did you remember to change the temp switch (for a light) to the sender for the guage? They look pretty much the same, but operate completely different. I ASSume that you did change it, but had to ask...so check the temp as suggested and if that's good, then you likely have a bad guage. It happened to me with my oil pressure guage when I did the swap and I had to replace the guage. -
CLICK HERE to go to the post with all of the details. Be sure to follow the ordering process as stated in that post and shown here... ALL ORDERS & PAYMENTS MUST BE TO ME NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 6TH IF YOU WANT TO BE INCLUDED IN THIS ORDER!!

If you believe in the principles of The United 4 Wheel Drive Association, Tread Lightly, The Blue Ribbon Coalition etc, etc... then it should be very easy to understand why this type of activity is wrong. If it's your land, do what you will...just don't post it in public for all of the tree huggers that search these types of sites to find and use against the rest of us that want to keep our sport alive. / It's just want people to understand that what "seems" to be an innocent picture or comment can and will be twisted by those that oppose us so just THINK about what you post on the internet ;) :smart: :D
