  1. Doors are as far as they’re going to get for a while. Had the first occupant today too. Brought the CJ down to do a quick clean up on all the scraps piling up. Next on the list it getting the eaves done so I can totally finish the roof.
  2. First time I’ve been able to lock up the shop.
  3. Wish I had more of an update after so long, but it’s really been a tough winter for my wife and I, plenty of medical issues, and cold days that seemed to always fall on my available weekends. I’ve had a pile of material sitting here for a while but just haven’t had the availability to get on it. My wife was awesome with giving me a hand with making the giant door jam and hanging trim this morning. The one door came out fitting the opening almost perfect if it weren’t for some clumsy concrete work. Suppose I ought to get on building the other before another six months go by.
  4. Needs ELIMINATOR decals. You know... roots.
  5. Looking really good, Adam.
  6. Very interesting take with the XJ trans tunnel. Looking good, Bo.
  7. Things have definitely progressed from 13 years ago! How’s Indiana?
  8. Good to see you, Troy. Sure is fun to see this thread at the top and all the goofy stuff you’ve added to it.
  9. Cute! I really like purpose build structures like these. Looking good Brent!
  10. Beautiful day yesterday! About 42* and sunny. My rule is if it’s at least 40* then the doors come off. Had to run to the shop so of course I parked in a snow bank... as one does. High of 20* today and heavy snow. Trying to figure a bikini top for this year that attaches only to the cage so I can put the windshield down but still keep the sun off me. So... there you go... I guess it’s an update.
  11. For a daily truck, my vote goes to a manual everyday of the week. Killer build.

    Been following the build... https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/#/topics/2690156?page=1
  13. WOW! So many times I’ve been in salvage yards and actually said out loud, “good job, little buddy!”
  14. I thought that too.
  15. That truck is the real deal and it still exists over on the upper east coast. That rear wheel was replaced after it was damaged on the track.
  16. Nothing new with the CJ but I did park next to a real nice Laredo today.
  17. Way to go, BJ!
  18. It’s weird and I dig it.
  19. Go with an aftermarket harness. I used to work at a shop that would have factory harnesses cut down and everything would work fine but sometimes we’d run into issues with the used connectors. A nice clean and new harness is just that and so much more... clean and new.

In terms of good taste in things that are tolerated, lets move the conversation here. So then, should someone want to go down this rabbit hole, would a Liberty flywheel and clutch work behind something like a 5.7 or is there a better factory parts combo assuming that there’s a crank sensor count difference from the flywheel? The link provided is a good example of how the parts look when they're all assembled but there's zero info on engine management or bell housing internals. Edit: Found another link to Manny explaining that he used a 3.9 bell housing from a Dakota, and a flywheel/clutch from a 4.7 Ram 1500. https://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1148528
  21. Good looking MJ. Welcome!
