Sure. You... maybe Pat if Pete wants his wiring harness... I might be meeting more of you guys on the road than actually at Pete's! Dug out and tested my 110 welder. Going to bring it as well.

I'd vote Sunday. If a project spills over into another day it's way easier to remember where you left off.

Maybe see if Pat is still up for giving up the harness. He'd be an hour off my beaten path, but hey... this is an adventure, right? I'd be willing to stop and pick that up on the way. For the small welding I do have my 110, shelf-shielded welder. Little guy is awesome for exhaust work and floors but not much for anything else. Fits just nice in the truck too. As for the floor, I actually did the floors in my brother's XJ not too long ago and I still have the cardboard templates I made up. Should I whip up another set and bring them along?... don't worry about material costs either... again, open line.

Not looking too likely. Took out my little one last night. Fired it up and poof. The ground on the board has always been a bit iffy and it seems as though it was just waiting for a good time to short. It's fixable, but not without a new board. Anything else needed? You mentioned spring perches... need any? Random scraps of material? Anything specific that would be easier made ahead of time? Whether it be perches, clevis mounts, silly little brackets for holding whatever... let me know. I've got an open line on just about any material or fabrication tools.

Been looking around and CC has some great pictures of factory brush guards. What I can't find is good pictures of how they mount. The one and only time that I have actually looked at one of these was a bit brief and I didn't have a camera. From what I can remember, they bolt onto the face of the bumper with a small tab and they wrap under with four pieces of square tubing and bolt on with the tow hook brackets... but what does it all look like underneath? Measurements would be great to see also, but not absolutely necessary. Any help?

Probably not. It went out over the radio that the city was asking for any help that they could, but it was more in the way that the message actually said it: "Looking for volunteers..."

Literally just got power back!

No power is no fun at all! We had some terrible storms roll though on Friday knocking out power all over the area. Most of which has been restored but I'm still in the dark... power company estimates sometime late Monday. Anyhow, Friday was a good excuse to take the truck out to stretch its legs. Being July 4th weekend, the city put out a message asking anyone to help out as a large portion of the city workers had gone elsewhere for the long weekend. With all the downed trees blocking the roads and storm drains, the wife and I jumped in to help out the street department. This was the neighbor's trees... only reason there were any pictures was for their insurance. I suppose they could've gone in the "MJs earning their keep" page, but... eh. All in all, we're okay and very lucky that we didn't get anything worse than a bunch of branches down and nothing else. Not a whole lot of fun, but on the up side I did have several people that night asking, "What's that Comanche Club sticker all about?".

From the first time I saw the new bed on this thing I knew it was just a waiting game before we would see it as MJOTM. Amazing work and stellar truck. Congratulations!

^Agreed! All of it! Grab as many MJs as you can to help us out! Rust free trucks bring a premium here and they are just too tough to come by. Buy a bunch and make a human centipede equivalent out of them! MN is in dire need of a good Jeep restocking. Where in MN are you thinking?

I love my cave... the place is like an eternal game of eye-spy! Who wouldn't need old torches, welding helmets, and random parts on their walls?
