I Need More Wiggle Room... And An Updated Home

I know... I know... I work from 7:30ish to 6:30-7:00 Monday through Thursday. I've tried to skip out a little early but the sun seems to beat me everyday. Friday? We'll shoot for Friday... probably. -
I wonder if they're still sending out the magnets with Brent's truck?
-
Does this mean we won't be seeing your truck on TV anymore as a test vehicle?
-
If I were to do it, I'd start with stripping the seat down to the frame and do the same with a bucket just to see the difference. Rymanrph had it done on his old '88. http://comancheclub.com/topic/29227-88-olympic-pioneer-the-addiction-continues/ Not sure how it was done... perhaps he'll chime in.

Extremely Rusted Floor, Suggestions Please!
neohic replied to darkenfire's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah... the cool kids roll in Rusty MJs just in the winter. Rusty trucks need lovin' too... been saying that a lot lately. When it makes sense to fix, it should be done properly.- 41 replies

Come on, Jim... the Caddy is just waiting to go back under the knife, right?

Why do I love this one so much?! My wife says I'm like an animal hoarder... I need to try and save them all! Especially the real dirty and mangy ones that should just be put down at the shelter... doesn't matter... still love this truck and would gladly welcome it into my herd.

I Need More Wiggle Room... And An Updated Home

I knocked over a 12'x24' to replace it with a 24'x36'. I wanted to go further back as well but I would've run into the drain field behind the house. I could be no closer than 10' from the edge of the field so I pushed it as far as I could. What I did do was push the ceiling height up as high as I could to over 10'. Even if the floor space is filled up, I can keep the small things up on shelves... hopefully what I'm working on tonight so I can finally put away a few vehicles that keep migrating around the property. As far as price, it's really tough to say since it was way more than just putting up a stand alone garage. Also, I have the advantage of being "in the loop" with so many people who knows someone who knows a guy who has some equipment and knows how to use it that I got by fairly cheap on the work that was farmed out. The dirt work, removal of the concrete, and hauling in all the fill came in around $2500. The highest price tag was the concrete work at over $7000. If you were to do a stand alone shop without a foundation, that's where the cost gets cut way down. I had enough to do on the house already and the cost of running power to another structure didn't make sense right now. Overall, I'm extremely happy with everything! -

Mostly just for appearance. If it had been the other way around that the double stall was close to the house, then I would've gone with a double. The way it is now, the only thing I would've changed would be pushing the new stalls back a couple feet just to break up the roof line and add some dimension to the front of the house. Eh... maybe next time. -

A big update is needed here. Siding is done... windows are done... doors are finished minus the storm doors... just finished wiring up the new garage... all in time for winter! I'll snap some pictures in the daylight. -
Deep in the heart of Comanche County

Neato! Always something cool happening here. Looks great, dude! -
Almost a year now without an update! Had to go through and reload pictures. Well... if anything it's gone a little forward to what it'll be in the future since I took some parts off. The shocks were moved over to the '91 and the a-pillar plastic was moved to the Eliminator. I figure that's just less parts to take off later on, right? Otherwise, it's been running really rough lately for the times I need to move it around the yard. Today was no different as I needed to move it while cleaning up the yard. Crank and crank and crank and crank and then nothing. Some more cranking and cranking... burp, pop, fart, a puff of something and VROOM!!! Everything came back to life! The alternator isn't charging though. I've known that for a while now. For the little bit of running that it does, unhooking the battery when not running is well enough for now. It still looks the same, just a little more dirty. It'll be in the new garage for this winter. That'll make it happy!

Really up in the air right now. The only way that it'll work for me to do it again is for people to prepay before they are even ordered. That'll mean that I'll be gambling on what to charge. If sales are going to drop more than they did this year from the last, that'll mean that the price goes up. Not sure if I want to set myself up for another year. Anyone else want to take the reins?
-
Bump. I was moving around some stuff last night and came across a couple more that were "spoken for" but never paid for. So... I've got a bunch from this year and a few from last year still sitting around. Anyone need another calendar?
-
So it's a FB thing? I've never deleted any pictures as the only pictures on my page are used here.
-
I reloaded two pictures, so I suppose I could go through and reload all of them... but I'm missing a bunch out of all my threads. What about everyone else? Is everyone in for a mega reload of pictures? Bummer dude...
-
:dunno: My links look okay but I haven't tried to go back and repost my old pictures. Even Rob's pictures in the thread don't show up. I don't think it's in something I or someone else did or didn't do being that you can go back before the forum change and randomly pick a thread... some old pictures work and some don't. :hmm:
-
Just wondering about the pictures on some older threads around here... http://comancheclub....hird-of-neohic/ http://comancheclub....991-eliminator/ http://comancheclub....y-88-sportruck/ http://comancheclub....ube-bed-page-7/ One is mine, but the others are randon ones that I had in the favorites on my computer.
-
Yeah... not sure what's up with that. I look around at other older threads with pictures gone as well. Maybe some issue with the change over to the new forum? Truck is looking as well as it can anyhow. Glad to see it enjoying itself up there at it's "retirement home"! Hey, rusty trucks need lovin' too! My hopes of working a little on the '91 before winter probably won't happen, but she's still my daily... runs like a watch as well! No changes, though. Still looking beautiful and rusty!

Going to need some more information on this!
