Welp...truck had cooled down...and it fired right up...so I finally parked inside the gate and left it running...I kept it running for a good 20min with about 1500 rpms and I just happen to step on the brake and the rpm level drops to 300rpm then let it keep idling rev back to 1500rpm and backfires and bucked then died and now can't start it.... Before starting it I cleaned the battery terminals and clean the electrical parts to the truck.... Could this be a sign of a cps? I mean the wires were burnt but I separated then and the truck fired right up... Now it doesn't want to start....

Any brands in particular?

Just to update this thread...truck has been running good since Wednesday morning... Today after work riding halfway home the truck starts bucking and backfiring...pulled over to the side and check my muffler to see if it exploded couldn't really tell because right side is the on ramp and left side was 5 lines of cars flying past me 55+ mph...truck kept running at a 1500 idle. Got off hwy and drive through the bottom and 3 blocks away the truck shuts down...kept looking at cables, vacuum hoses, etc.. I remember reading through another ones thread about the cps wires being burned on the exhaust...looked at the wires coming down from the cps bam! Melted wires bonded together!!!! Pulled it off the exhaust and tried to start the truck. Struggled but kept stepping on the peddle to keep the engine running....finally got home and hope to work on it on Saturday to get a full days work in to see what can I do to fix those wires...

Well my a/c system is all disconnected...the previous owner was planning a 4.0 swap and never gotten around to it... When I got it I attached every back except the a/c system to get it running.... Blue88 One day I was doing some work on my truck and that wire that's attached to the compressor was hitting the positive terminal and it was activating the clutch but the compressor itself is locked because I tried turning with my hand and there's no way turning that sucker.... Also went to an a/c shop a year ago and they "quoted" me $1200 to replace the system.... And $1500 for all factory parts Iirc I thought you can't put freon after a system has been exposed to humidity for over an hour....

What's up guys I wanted to ask what do I need to get my a/c back running again.... My truck is equipped so I don't have to worry about sourcing the a/c box... But my compressor is locked and seems to have the old r12 system... What parts do I need to get it back together? Compressor? Expansion valve? Receiver/dryer? Condenser? ...anything else?

What's up guys Yesterday I was driving to the park and just around the corner of the park the truck shuts off completely(engine only not lights)...I was making a turn and the steering wheel got hard. At first I thought the belt ripped but noticed the engine wasn't running so I popped the clutch and got it going...got to the park and as I was parking the truck shuts off again and I couldn't get it to start again.... So after the game I went to go to diagnosing the truck, check fuel and it was getting fuel, truck was cranking but no spark....finally after wiggling some wires and disconnecting some sensors...I finally got it going but now it's running fine... Prior to this I was noticing it had a very low idle... This weekend I was refreshing my grounds, and cleaning with electronics cleaner on sensors and wires. Idle did get better but up until yesterday it went back to low idle... This morning I got it going and it ran great. No low idle, I left house to grab coffee, parked went back and fired right up no struggle, drove to work parked the truck tried to restart and fired right up.... Any clues as to what this may be? It's my dd and I do a lot of hwy driving and I don't want it to shut off on me in the middle of the hwy

A lot of people live and die by rustys and a lot of people hate rustys mainly customer service and warranty problems.... Best thing is buy and test yourself...

Where Do Ya Buy Your Mj Parts At?

This would be a cheaper option if you knew how to weld or pay someone to weld for you http://comancheclub.com/topic/36200-jcroffroad-new-jeep-comanche-mj-diy-rear-bumper/
