  1. PT Cruisers had that option as well.

    HEY PETE...

It's OK Brent, I'm sure Sam was just making a joke. . I hope he knows that there are little pee strips for that. :fool: Of course where I grew up, if someone was raising rabbits for 4H, they usually ended up in the pot at some point in time. Just a cultural thing. (Not for me though. I stick to cows, pigs and chickens!)
  4. Flushing the radiator is not the same as flushing the heater core. In fact whoever flushed the rad could have caused the core to plug up with crap from the block. Or maybe the cable to the blend door popped off if it happened all of a sudden. Can you hear the door hit the stop when you move it full cold to full hot?

So how is the little guy holding up? Now that the honeymoon is over, you still like it? I'm looking pretty hard at one of these mini's.
  6. Hey, the paint job on your country is how I want to paint my truck!
  7. When I started wrenching as a AMC Jeep tech in '81, we got all the IH stuff at our place. Loved to drive those boats.
  8. He just offered it to me for $500! :D
  9. To be really cool you need to pimp out a Travelall
  10. The list is a very long one. Don't throw parts at it. See what the code is.
  11. Nice....if you get rid of those seats! Too bad you couldn't find seat covers with the same pattern.
  12. I cry everythime it gets destroyed :(
  13. Sentry key is standard on the WJ. Whoever told you that they cannot "make" them at the dealer is full of it. They order the key blanks, cut them to your Jeep,, then they need to be programmed with either the Scan tool or with two good keys. Or if you really wanted to, you take the one good sentry key, attatch it to the inside of your column cover near the module antenna, then you can use any normal key cut to your ignition code to start the Jeep.
  14. Very cool. We had advance notice you might be coming. What is the 3.3 diesel out of?
  15. I've had a 2004 and currently have a 2001 (well, botht the wifes.) Both 4.0 liters, w/242 case. I happen to disagree with the others though. I think both the 4.7 and the 45rfe trannys are very good components. And with the 45rfe you should be able to flash it to a 545rfe. You can find the 4.7 with the 242 case instead of the AWD. For where you live that would save on gas and tire wear for the fronts. The AWD seems to eat front tires. I do agree that the alum D44 is one of the biggest pieces of crap ever made. I would take a D35 any day of the week over one of those. Watch for leaking rear axle seals. Very common. As are loose tie rod ends. And if it has ATC look under the dash at the connector for the Blower Power Module. They tend to melt when the power module is going bad. Also make sure the A/C works and the blend door moves. Door lock actuators honk like a duck when bad, so be sure to lock and unlock the doors a couple of times. OTHER than that. I highly recommend them. I think they are the last good Jeep product besides the TJ's.
  16. Is that one of those whips and chains sex places you are thinking of :brows:
  17. :agree: . So much easier to clean than MUD!

Not sure I follow your thought on this one Eagle. The 2.5 did come before the 4.0. Or do you mean that a more correct lineage would be the 4.0 based on the 4.2? I just look at them all being in the same family. Damn good engines. Too bad they didn't bother to do more development on the 2.5. I think there is untapped potential there.
  19. The dealership I used to workk at hade a huge wholesale parts set up. They used 8 to 10 vans for delivery all over the State of NY. Each van was logging from 60 to 100K a year. They made the switch to Sprinters from Chevy cubes. Chevy gas engines were 6 to 10 MPG in the cubes, to 18 to 23 with the diesel Sprinters. Huge operating cost savings.
  20. I guess the important question is "are you satisfied" with the speed of what you have now? I really cannot justify extra cost for what I use my computer for.
  21. I wonder if it is how the tool loads your system? The 22,000 that SW shows seems to be incrdedibly fast. I have regular Roadrunner and both tools show about 2,800 to 3,800 depending on when I test.
  22. Not true Wahoo! There is a version of Sprinter available with a gas Mercedes engine that is a derivitive of the Crossfire engine.
  23. The first gen (stateside) engine is the VA 5cyl. Second gen VB is the 3.0 diesel that is in the CRD Grand Cherokee.
  24. Brent, did you try the system checker on dealerconnect?
  25. Don't forget the CCV orifice grommet. That is probably plugged and the main reason for the MJ ebola. It only takes about 3psi crank crank case pressure to start seals leaking.
